By far the BEST roller skating tune ever!!! Ah, the good ole days!!! I miss the roller rinks! Went in recent years and almost broke my tail bone!! Way older now but no balance at all now. So sad.😢. But I do have all the old roller skating tunes and still listen to this day, like over 40 years later! Lol. Second best song is My Big Guitar! The rhythm on both are sick!!!

Thank you 🙏 for this video from 1979. I started skating at a skate rink in 1978 and preferred the black sessions because I loved their music. This is exactly how I remembered the kids at my skate rink and I told my husband that it was filmed the same time I started skating. The white boy with the playboy tee shirt and Mohawk tried to teach me a few of his tricks. I eventually could keep up with the best skaters at Roller Dome South. The friendships were priceless too. @@purduevoices there is another video, with the original audio . All the others have been edited and added audio. The original one, you can see all the same people and more amazing moves But the music is modern. Some sort of electro stuff. Must be there. I was trying to see more scenes from the guys in blue t-shirt and found it.

@@coronelsakura2841 it is possible that it was filmed by someone who had fond memories after they rose up a few rungs in economic circles. If that is the case, it is remarkable film adaptation. The quality of film is excellent so that leaves some doubt that it was filmed in 1979. My other doubts is that I have no memory of anyone with a high socioeconomic status who could afford movie camera to film skaters. I skated at an all black skate rink in 1979 regularly and went to an all white catholic school. I got an enormous amount of heat by classmates for daring to step foot inside Roller Dome South. I wanted to share that I made so many friends and memories and remembered those songs and friends and forgot my most of my Catholic school friends unless they came to my favorite hangout. Thank you for your reply since you reminded me of a story of the white gentleman with the Mohawk and playboy tee shirt. He might have had a son who leaned a few tricks from his father 🧑.

One word, FRESH!. For me it was Laces in Long Island, NY, and I was in early grade school. Mom used to take me and I would watch these skaters jam and I would just go in circles, and loved every minute of it. God Bless those times! 🇺🇸🙏👍

These videos bring back memories when I was a teen and Friday nights was skate night. Saturday was for the young folks and we had a blast. No guns, no knives or drugs just good old clean fun.
