Just awesome! I kept looking at the white kid in the background with glasses and the reason why I kept focusing on him was 'cause he reminded me of ME. I was in choir for years and I had a teacher like this in 7th and 8th grade. Mr. Gee. Mr. Gee was a black man who was tasked with directing a choir that was made up of White, Black, Asian , Hispanic and Middle eastern kids. He did so by teaching us gospel songs that he arranged himself in a neutral way.. Though we still sang them in the style. He always encouraged all of us to be who we were and made us proud to be a group. I miss those days and that was some 25 years ago. All honors go to teachers that can bring something wonderful and engaging into a child's life and especially to those that transcend cultural boundaries to help us learn to be one through music.

These was just fantastic to listen to! The kids' and David seem to have had a blast knowing each other and performing together!!! And it's clear he couldn't say no to the kids' request to sing RITD, lol. When he was asked recently to sing it, he always excused himself. Kudos to everyone involved in this awesome project that's the PS22 Chorus ♥

I agree, it takes an educater who cares and wants his pupils to succeed. These children have success written all over them. They sound terrific and they look gen uinely happy, which makes for GREAT students! I am a David Cook fan as well, and I do believe they compliment each other very nicely. Again I say ...WOW.

That was fantastic! Loved David's voice with that young lady's voice...great combination. David is always amazing, and that young lady also has an amazing voice. She's going to go places in the music world if she continues to sing. That whole chorus is fantastic. I love seeing David working with kids....he obviously loves it, and it's a great opportunity for them.

That's Denise, she already has a bit of a history, she had a Target back to school ad. She made the morning show circuit, public solo's. On youtuve she has two music video one is a song that she sang for the first time at PS22 "Lying Man" ALERT she just released a single called "Hidden" it's available through amazon.com. if she can get Mr B's permission there might be enough for an album and introduce Mr B as a song writer. Something for his retirement or if he finds himself "between jobs"

Thanks PS22 for getting David to sing Rolling in the Deep again! We've been trying to get him to do this to no avail. But David apparently can't say no to kids, so good on you! lol I saw him do this at Pet a Palooza in Vegas & he killed it! You kids are an amazing talent. Love David Cook and luv you kids too. The chorus of 2009 is 15 that would make them up for youngest contestant but really 17 or 18 would be better. You can scratch Allie, I think she will concentrate on becoming a teacher. I saw a post from her somewhere and she said that. I hope she can find time for her annual appearance at PS22 around Christmas time. We should be getting the Christmas posts shortly.

***** I just love the teacher because every year he has new kids and I don't know how he teaches them to harmonize but they are spectacular every year that I've been watching their videos. I feel like so many of these kids are going to be successful in life all because of their experience in PS 22. I can't sing at all, I sing along with the radio but only when I'm alone or with my husband. I'm too embarrassed to sing any other time! I guess I should have said how much I love the kids because it doesn't matter if it's their first or second year, they sing so wonderfully. I am in awe of them all!!

Lol, the little girl already has fans. David is so good with kids. Love his version of Rolling in the Deep. I think he should just give up and have that song ready to go as everyone is going to request it. When he did it in Las Vegas, it was totally shiver inducing, especially the first part. He sang it with such power and intensity. Great song sung by a great, great singer.
