I just love the feeling of this song ... Mick's singing voice with the backing vocals, Keef's guitar plying like he puted all his heroin soul here with the rythms and charlies' drumming ... it's just ain't no use in crying ... The Stones are the best.

Ain't no use in crying Stay away from me Ain't no use in crying Stay away from me Ain't no use in crying Stay away from me Standing in the kitchen Looking way out cross the fields You see a face in the window It's not real, it's not real Ain't no use in crying Stay away from me, stay away Ain't no use Ain't no use Ain't no use Ain't no use Ain't no use, stay away from me Stay away Ain't no use in crying, stay away from me Stay away Standing at the station And gazing down the track There ain't no train coming baby I ain't never, never coming back Standing in the balcony Looking way out towards the sea If you see your ship come a sailing It's not me, it's not me It's not me, it's not me, it's not me, it's not me Stay away from me Ain't no use, ain't no use, ain't no use, ain't no use Stay away, stay away, stay away, stay away from me Ain't no use in crying Stay away from me

Heroin addiction is sad. I saw a friend last summer and saw the track marks. She said. She was shooting up. I told her not to because she could o.d. and die. Well later on she almost died. It is very sad. Mr. Richards with all the money in the world,"Why?" Why shoot up with everything to live for? You are the most original riff writer in Rock-n-roll history. It would have been sad to have lost an artist. Peace.

Released for the upcoming tour in 81 usa, which at the time would have been bigger and more so lucrative than any before due to the advertising sponsorship which I think was jovan perfume, anyway the album was basically put together from unreleased/unfinished material which never made the cut on albums from as far back as goats head soup , Released 73 but an example would be waiting on a friend that was originally started circa 72 for the ghs sessions, i think mick had a major input for the finished product and also the producer i may add, all in all its one helluv an album considering it's origins and the end result for a record release to tour, fantastic.

Yes Ron Wood did get writing credit for NUIC. I hear him on backing vocs as well...This is one of Mick's most revelatory vocals: hard, brutal, cold & confident then the tenderness and heartache and vulnerability...bravo!

You can see here that Keith was starting to lose his chiseled, dark-eyed looks. He was a fine, handsome man. And yet, he walks, he talks, he works that guitar like no other. And he's still a super bad singer! What's not to love? His harmonies are epic and remain so.

@Exiles800

+Anthony R. I get the impression Mick was talking about a woman in this song. I'm not sure your interpretation of this song to addiction is accurate since Keith was just playing guitar on it and not necessarily using it to express his addiction problem.
@joeyg2525
@joeyg2525 7 жыл бұрын
I guess it's about like Angie. Keith wrote the melody and chorus in rehab, and parts of it really do sound like he's talking about Heroin, but Mick added the other lyrics with his contribution sounding more like it's directed towards a woman. People argue the same shit about "Brown Sugar" which is CLEARLY about Slavery, but I guess when you throw in the world's most famous former Heroin addict people always want to draw that conclusion.
@joeyg2525
@joeyg2525 7 жыл бұрын
Keith was at his worst in '77 when he got arrested in February of that year in Toronto with an ounce of Heroin. He was in rehab several times. He didn't quit for good until the Toronto bust.
