A very relaxing watch with a lovely selection of cars. Great to see the MOT, the quality of workmanship there is outstanding. I briefly worked at P&A Wood as a driver, it was a brilliant experience and the people, the cars (and that engine in the background), were amazing! Thanks for the video.

You should engage handbrake before putting into park. Put in neutral, engage handbrake and release brakes so handbrake holds the car. Then put into park and switch off engine. Otherwise the locking pin is put under too much pressure.

I find these videos very relaxing and it's always good to see you prioritising the quality of the breakfast at these meets. 2.3k for the annual service isn't bad all things considered. My Brooklands always ends up costing between 2 and 3 grand.

Thats good news about the wipers.hopefully they will be quiet for you now.i have had both front and rear discs fitted on mine over the years.you think front ones are pricey,wait till you need rear ones.apparentley theyre very complicated to do.if memory serves me right they was 2300 quid done by a specialist.hopefully with the miles i do they wont ever need doing again.6 years and 13000 miles later they still look as new.i do the service items my self,will be doing them next week infact ready for the shows starting.looked a nice day out.

The replacement of rear gas springs on a Spirit ( mine is a 1986) shouldn’t cost over £600 in my opinion . I did mine myself at the cost of £110 for the two springs, or as Id call them , spheres. ( there’s a pun in there) Access is gained through the boot. They can be tight to remove, yet in the Citroen D model application they need only be screwed on hand tight. I had several D models and replaced spheres a few times. They should be no different on the RR. You wouldn’t need a specialist garage, any competent mechanic could do it. Perhaps 11/2 hours labour, £110 for the spheres/ gas springs and I’d say nearer £250 than £650. Then spend £400 that you saved on some detail to further enhance the car. Just my thoughts on this.

Did P&A Wood do the work for you? I have booked my Brooklands in with them for it’s annual service, MOT plus a few other items in March.

Hi, no I used Jaggard and Moore in Chelmsford, who I throughly recommend. Steve Moore is ex P&A. Only went to P&A Wood as always interested in what’s in the showroom and wanted a nice place for a walk round, it’s also close to that weeks classic car meet.
