This was the exact Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith car that was involved in the tragic incident of the assassination of Sir Henry Gurney, British High Commissioner for Malaya occurred along route 55 connecting Kuala Kubu Bharu and Fraser Hill on 6 October 1951.
The car in this video was used as the official car for the British High Commissioner for Malaya from 1950 to the day of his assassination and was later used by the first Governor of Penang, YM Raja Tun Uda after Malaya gained its independence in 1957.
This car was believed to have been imported from Britain in 1950 specifically for Sir Henry Gurney and similar model were also used by the head of state all over the world during the same time period with the likes of Queen Elizabeth II, King of Belgium, and for various ceremonial purposes of nations' head of states, etc.
The location of this video was the Penang State Museum, Macalister road, Georgetown, Pulau Pinang (closed now due to major renovation).
