EV for rolls Royce makes a lot of sense, and I think they’ve done a good job of making their EV feel like all their other cars, instead of making it radically different. I would love to see other manufacturers follow their lead and make more cars that feel like their existing cars instead of making things too revolutionary. Although with this said I think the rear is ugly, I think it looks like the Chrysler crossfire lol

Nissan made an EV like all their other Eco-Hatches with the Leaf, as did Mercedes with the EQ line sort of mimicking their GL line. It's not a unique practice, Rolls-Royce just did it particularly well.

Great to see another Carfection film! That is quite a Rolls Royce, but it's the bonnet length that really impresses me. Ah. So Carfection uses the word "perfection" to build its name. I thought it came from the word "affection". This is my least favorite Rolls Royce so far. I think it doesn't have the flowy lines the other ones have, especially around the C pillar and the trunk lines, and that two tone splitting that makes the trunk line more obvious. Still, a magnificent, gorgeous car. One day, I'll be able to afford it and I'll start with the Phantom.

Finally; an EV that I don't mind being silent. Have reservations about the styling - the front looks a little less RR and a bit more BMW and you can leave the Spirit of Ecstasy alone. Before anybody compares the headlight design to the new 7-series BMW. This may share internals with the electric i7 however I would like to remind you all that Rolls Royce has had split headlights with the real headlight under the running light since 2003. That is way before BMW ever had it.

@@MadDaCube We all know that starting with ‘03 phantom, has angular forms and distinct split headlights family looks. But starting with the 8th gen. Not keen on the interior too much either, because of the many large flat screens dominating everything. I wish they were more hidden…until needed. It’ll date the interior quickly. As for the new EV platform? Just perfect for a Rolls! I just hope their other upcoming EVs will be more traditionally styled. Sorry, but it just reminds me of the chintzier looking Maybach/S-Class. Which Rolls’s never did previously 🤷♂️ still, I suppose I should hold final judgement until I see one in the metal.

I had the opportunity to drive the 102 EX Prototype back a decade ago and at the time, i couldn't understand why Rolls Royce wasn't jumping straight into EV's. It INSTANTLY made sense that a Roller would have an electric powertrain. Keep in mind that this was nearly 2 years before the Model S even launched so perhaps they were worried it wouldn't sell? Not sure, but the EV powertrain even in that development car was highly polished and very much suited the car. I mean, what's more luxurious than a Rolls Royce with MORE silence and LESS powertrain NVH and no shifts? I'm sure this will be fantastic. But not with that interior....

I was expecting so, so much better from Rolls Royce, but this Spectre is a lazy haberdashery of parts from BMW and RR. Lights that look almost identical to the i7; styled in exactly the same way, an interior lifted from the Ghost with a few extra LEDs and an extra, useless screen. An almost comically small radiator up front and a ghastly front bumper with all the exposed plastic...the fact the only 'new' thing that the Spectre offers is a colour coordinated knob is laughable.
