I worked at a school years back and Chris came to speak with our students. What struck me is that he didn’t do a huge speech in the auditorium with all staff and students present, and he didn’t announce his arrival, he just low key came to our special needs class and spent time with the children. Really looked at them and engaged. I saw the kids relate to him in such a special and unique way. I’ve respected his journey ever since. He asked excellent questions during this interview and I’m sitting here with a full heart because this exhibited sincerity, joy and positivity. Love all three of you wonderful folks.

Just came from your SBSK interview straight to your channel to subscribe because I think you are such a cool, amazing, fun, caring and upbeat couple that I just couldn’t wait to see more of you! I loved everything about your interview, especially the way you met and the way you, Cole, battled your way back from such a horrific accident. Thank God your friend managed to grab you in time and pull you out of that water. So often this type of accident happens to young, super sporty young men who take perhaps greater risks than the general population and so suffer even greater loss in that their bodies were their whole worlds. I’ve met several of these young men and followed some of the astounding lives they’ve made for themselves, but rarely have I met one who so firmly states he wouldn’t take back that accident even if he could. Rarely have I seen someone in a wheelchair as happy and content and upbeat and positive as you are, Cole. You are like a couple in the very first throes of love; hardly like a married couple at all! The way you both look at each other just speaks volumes and I think you are both such lovely and warm-hearted people as individuals as well. This is a true love story, in my opinion, and as an author of teen love stories, I should know! 😉 This is the kind of story people want to read about in novels - one of the truest and most romantic (and the reverse of tragic) love stories of all time. I was devastated to hear of the truly horrific racist and ableist abuse you have received - some human beings can be the epitome of pure evil - but I can tell that, together, you have the strength to deal even with that level of cruelty and stupidity, even though it must hurt. I feel that together there is little you cannot conquer and I wish you nothing but the best for your continuing love story. I look forward to continue watching your journey on your channel now. Thank you so much for being the truly awesome couple that you are and for letting us into your amazing life together. Cole, you are so good-looking and Charisma, you are as so beautiful and just as charismatic as your name suggests with, as Cole pointed out, the most wonderful smile! With so much love and admiration! Tabitha (London, UK)

I love watching SBSK! When I saw you guys featured in their recent upload I had a little fangirl moment 😂 I work for a DSHS service provider and among all of the referrals we receive, we often get a few newly injured clients. Some as young as 17. Our mission statement is " Empowering individuals with disabilities to live their full potential". I'm 24, so I love to be the one who meets these younger clients and assure them that they are not alone, that there is a wonderful community and tons of resources out there. Of course, some are not always ready or willing to integrate into this community yet. Sometimes we'll have conversations and I like to mention some of my favorite KZbinrs (you guys). You're positivity and acceptance has made such a special impact ❤️ you have no idea. Especially when someone thinks their life is over

This interview was how I discovered your channel. It's really cool to see it from a different perspective and realize some what you guys said that made such a big impact on me. I'm at that point now (9:50) where Charisma is talking about how she felt she could just be herself with Cole. It sounds simple, but it's such a huge thing. It makes me realize how rarely in my life I've felt I could just be myself without a lot of editing and eliding of parts of who I am. It's a powerful message, Charisma - thank you!

To me what makes Cole and Charisma so outstanding is their sincereness for their feelings for one another... they show understanding with kindness and give understanding in return with kindness. The saying goes, “it’s how you say it” . In a sincere voice or disgusted voice. Cole and charisma always speaking to each other in a respectful tone of voice. Weather it’s an argument or not....the way is to smoothly help each other out to a smooth relationship. And the good thing too, both Cole and Charisma family gets along so wonderfully connected that who has space to hate but help each other with love. Take care.

I just came from watching the interview. This was honestly so great to see and hear. You guys continue doing what you doing. Changing the world one video at a time. I would just like to quote a line from the interview that Cole responded when asked if he thinks everyone is able to be loved and his answer was "once you are able to show love you are able to receive love" that stuck with me.❤ something as simple as that I ever thought of and I was longing to hear about what happened to Cole and I finally gh it to hear about how he got injured. Thanks for you courage to speak and motivation to not give up Cole. Charisma you are awesome aswell. Big up yuhself (as we say here in Trinidad 🇹🇹) much love always

Thanks to SBSK and to Cole and Charisma for these videos. You are among my VERY favorite youtubers. In the interview, Cole's powerful concluding statement literally brought tears and goosebumps to me. Life is about defining your own dream!

I'm invisibly disabled, relatively recently diagnosed. I really hope there's someone out there who will love me as much as you two obviously love each other. But, the older I get, the more I doubt it.

Of course you deserve love. It’s a gift, nothing to take for granted, nothing we’re entitled to (whether we’re able bodied or not!), but every body is loveable.

I have invisible illness/disability as well. It will happen one day.

You guys make me feel so warm inside...I am starting a degree in Nursing this year and I cannot wait. I want to transmit people that they are deserving of love and respect. Thanks to your videos I have learnt a lot about life in general and about being disabled, and I think it is something that definitely will help me understand and put myself in other´s shoes. Thanks a lot, big hug!

You did a great interview. I’m also in an interabled relationship and I think it was so important that you mentioned no matter how hard you try some things still won’t happen. It upsets me so much that people assume if my partner tried harder he would magically be able to walk........wake up people it doesn’t work like that. So thanks for all your advocacy in helping people understand some of the disability issues x

Guys, i loved this almost more than anything else you've posted. Together you are healing each others hearts. Anyone open-hearted, who wants to live a full life, experiences things along the way that hurt us, and threaten to close us off to love, and i mean real love. In addition to inspiring a lot of people to live full lives (including many of your able-bodied viewers like me), you are showing people what it means to be in a healthy, loving relationship. Keep it coming. You have nailed it.

I feel you both are very comfortable when you are both together. I see how much you both rely on each other. Sophie is like most animals. You show them how much you care and love them they see you for who you truly are.
