And more Tim Burton has arrived! This time a film that I have been wanting to watch for a while now. Ewan was so great in this role and he stole every single frame he was in with his infectious smile. The creativity and heart that I found in this movie was so inspiring and just made me feel so happy. I loved every second of it! Thanks for watching and have a great day! :)

A Big Fish story is a story that gets more elaborate the more it is told. Basically, a guy catches an 18in fish but as he tells & retells the story the fish gets bigger and bigger 'til the fish is 6ft long and it took him almost 5 hrs to reel it in. This is what the son assumed the dad was doing but realized that while the stories were exaggerated a little they weren't exaggerated as much as he thought.

i think its sweet that all the embellishments are given to the people Edward meets, and Edward never makes himself into this fantasy character. the son never realized that the truth was hidden inside the lie.

Glad someone finally did this - I love the part when the son goes on his quest and finds out the truth...his funeral is one of those sad/happy moments

Shanelle Riccio reacted to this film, and her video is excellent. She included important lines that were left out of this video.

Finally someone who reacts to Big Fish. All other "reactors" tend to just view the same old movies, but not you! Thanks a lot! More people need to watch this one!

I said those lines to my dad. "Your embarrassing yourself dad and you don't see it" and I just watched this today and at the end the emotion was uncontrollable. My dad is getting older and we fish everyday and this shit hit me so hard. Like the shaking kind of crying damn I need to take this time and enjoy every damn sec.

One of Burton's best. Really captures the magic of storytelling. The son's story to his father at the end always gets a tear 😢 and the funeral is so beautifully done.

Karl the Giant was actually a real actor not special effects, though they did use forced perspective to make him look a lot taller than he actually is. His name was Matthew Mcgrory and he held the Guinness Record for the Tallest Actor Ever. Sadly he passed away two years after making this movie of heart failure.

The giants name is Matthew McGrory, he passed a few years back. He had a small career in film, mostly leaning towards the horror genre, but he definitely has chops, given his physical limits

Fun, endearing, and an instant classic the moment it came out. Also one of my father's favorites. Fun Fact: The joke with the elephant defecating while Edward daydreams was unscripted. The filming crew found it hilarious, and quickly zoomed out to get the whole thing.

God, I love this movie. It may not be Burton's most famous film, but imo it's his best.

Danny Elfman was Oscar nominated for his score of Big Fish. He should have won but Lord of the Rings won everything that year. The incredible impact of the movie's ending rides on Danny Elfman's ELEVEN MINUTE continuous orchestral cue flowing like a river all the way to the movie's end credits.

Great video! I think Big Fish is one of the greatest films of the 21st century. This is Tim Burton’s mastery as a filmmaker and storyteller on display. I highly recommend you seeing and reacting to the 2014 Tim Burton film, “Big Eyes”. It’s quite a story and it’s based on a true story. I’ll say no more.

IMO, this is Tim Burton's masterpiece. I'm pretty sure it's better than every single movie he did before, and every single movie he's done since is far inferior.

I never saw this movie when it came out. I had no interest and when my friend made me watch it I was in aw. I’m not trying to make myself out to be a tough guy but I guess I kind of am and I cried through the last 40 mins of this movie. It immediately became one of my all time favorite movies. It’s beautiful. So I guess I’m a tough guy with a giant, kind and tender heart. Love your channel

I loved this movie! All the stories the father told were true but he added stuff to make them interesting. The giant would represent someone he met who was larger than life. The conjoined twins were just twins but he might have said they were together because they were so close to each other they were like one. It's all how you interpret it. Love at first sight can seem the world stops. Everything had a meaning. The nude woman in the lake was his temptation to be unfaithful to his wife. I've listened to people tell me stories that I think to myself how much are they making up to make it more interesting. It's a movie.....go along for the ride.
