I'm so glad videos like these emerge of RVP. Newer generation are hellbent on knowing him through only volleys when this man was an amazing dribbler and playmaker as well for so long at Arsenal. He could have played as a number 10, a playmaker and still wont look out of position. Classy player. As an Arsenal fan, it did hurt when he switched to the red half of Manchester. But he did not do it out of greed (eg. Adebayor, Nasri, Clichy etc). He was even better than them as a player. His ambition outgrew Arsenal's, and for that, i respected his decision. When he won the EPL, i was happy that his decision paid off. He went to the best team in England back then n proved that he could do it with the big boys. In my eyes, he was never a Judas. Every honest, passionate footballer wants to win trophies. Why play if you dont even think of winning. He has that elite mentality with a natural born talent. Just sad that he did not get to win more trophies. Legend.

I watch football since 2006 World cup, i have seen so many deadly strikers Like Eto´o, Prime Zlatan, Raul, Del piero, Tevez, etc.. and in netherlands i have seen Huntelaar, Van nistelrooy, Kuyt, de jong (Hahaha). but i have never seen a man like the legend RVP, he was a phenomenal finisher, he could score from smallest chance possible on the pitch, i do not think anyone, literally anyone can repeat 2 goals of his career: 1- His famous header Against Spain. 2- First touch Volley outside the box with rooney´s assist at Man Utd. (3:32) My most favorite player of all time, literally untouchable.

One of the most complete attackers of the past 25 years, he was a complete striker with headers, volleys, positioning and long shots. He had winger dribbling skills, crossing and beautiful short and long passes. Without disrespecting one of the GOATS......on many attributes he is on par with Christiano Ronaldo , He loses out on a few things, but is also better on atleast 3 fronts. His Header conversion rate, his bicycle kick conversion rate and his weakfoot convesrion rate were equal to Ronaldo's. Ronaldo wins speed, wins assists per game, slighty wins dribbling, slightly wins penalties (4%) and goals per minute played is up by 0.12 goals per minute. V persie wins by a mile on FK conversion rate, Volleys, setpiece assists (corners, free kicks) Not claiming V persie is as good as CR7... but where you play, how long you play and if you stay healthy matters alot. Vpersie started in a top 3 team in a top 4 league when he was 21.... CR7 was 18. If you look at how teammates and club dominance impact your production in both goals and assists: V persie playing with dominant Arsenal: 0.2 assist pg (like CR7 assist ratio), V persie playing in turkey with Fenerbahce 1 in 12 matches (no dominant club/teammates) V persie left Fenerbahce and the club went from 2nd to 6th... from losing the title by 1 match to being 20+ points behind the leaders. CR7 has had an injury free career, started younger, is physically more impressive and played at the best clubs in the world for 17 yrs Do not compare their total stats... they dont even come close Vpersie has played for a dominant club just 5 years... id say 4 of his 8 yrs with arsenal and 1 of his 3 years at united to be generous. (top 3 in standings of a top 4 league) So... 1/3rd of total games played (injuries and normal retirement age), 1/3rd of playing @a dominant club .... and his goals per 90 minutes is just 0.12 behind ronaldo. Again... not saying that if they switched careerpaths V persie would do the same or better than CR7! But the guy was pretty impressive overal.... Like how Zlatan was being a boss when healthy at a good club. Dont forget Zlatan, V persie, CR7 are 2 years apart... They had different career paths, but similar players who all played at the highest level. Ronaldo just stayed at the highest level twice, three times as long as the others.
