This is a very beautiful song; I love the addition of the choir here. Romain writes lyrics that feel universal, that feel timeless. In this song, one line that I imagine many have said (if only to themselves) is "We said it would just be friendly." This could be a song about a love that never should have been. And of coming to realize one doesn't even know why he continues to stay in the relationship. There is no anger, no bitterness or heartbreak, maybe only the realization that the only trap that one is in, is a trap of his own creation. But then, how does one say goodbye? "I'll stay another night if you want me to" is poignant. One doesn't care either way, he is just being polite, showing respect. And then, finally, when one has found enough courage to learn what lies beyond the door, one says what he needs to say before walking through it "But never ever draw me back to you."
