the thing i find so special about romain is not only his ability to carry emotions in his beautiful vocals but the way he can make his guitar weep with emotion just makes you /feel/ it in your soul!

Thanks for checking out Romain. What a beautiful song of a beautiful soul. So much feeling. ❤😢 From the description of the song: "A few weeks ago this song came out of me. It was firstly inspired by what is happening in Gaza, a tribute for all the victims. But I think it's also just about human destruction in its whole. Every innocent victim, every terrible mistake humans have made and keep making. This is what this song is about: when are we gonna stop making them?"

To me this is Romain's BEST song, it's so full of emotion. Both in his beautiful voice and his guitar playing, his guitar sings with every tone. A modern day John Lennon's "Imagine" to me. I love Romain's music so much. 🤩🤩
@sammyd88608 ай бұрын
I agree with you that this is an important song. Everybody needs to hear it. I hate to make the suggestion but it really needs to be played behind footage of Gaza, of Ukraine, of Syria, of Yemen, so that people can really understand what is going on

We hear a lot about people who "wear their heart on their sleeve", but I feel like Romain wears his soul on his sleeve, and from there it melds beautifully with his guitar. He's incredible at filling each note with emotion.

Romain is a beautiful soul. War is brutal and so sad and never ending. 😢 This song should be heard everywhere. Maybe it will move some hearts to do better, like Dylan’s “Blowing in the Wind” and Lennon’s “Imagine”. ☮️ Romain has such a sweet voice and he has become one of my all time favorite guitar players. I’m so happy to see this reaction come up on your channel. I was going to also suggest it. Excited for you to get into The Big Push. He is on fire in that group! Have a nice day ❤

Nice, deep reaction as ever! To "humans have done it [war] as far as history recorded it" I want to recommend a book from the dutch author and activist Rudger Bregman. The German title is "Im Grunde gut - eine neue Geschichte der Menschheit" - English title is "HumanKind - a hopeful History". He mentions many facts in history that humans naturally tend to cooperate instead of fight against each other and how the narrative of the "evil and egoistic" human nature had been fed to fix power structures. Imagine we suddenly would expect every other human to be friendly and cooperative - what would the world look like? All those warlords and people in power could immediately pack their things an go elsewhere... I like this world view much more! And like you said it in another reaction: Its a choice!
@SaeedReacts.8 ай бұрын
Thanks so much ! I will look that book up. One other book that made a huge impact on me was Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl. More so in the sense that it gave me perspective on my own life.
@FrauEausS8 ай бұрын
@@SaeedReacts.oh yes, Frankl is a great model! And an old time classic for therapists, educators etc. IMO everybody should read it at school. So little do we learn about our real human nature...

Unfortunately war is always topical somewhere at all times 🤔 I know you listened to toxicity when you were 13 …. Their next double album hypnotize/ mesmerize has a lot of Lyrics about the Armenian Geneocide ( SOAD is an Armenian American band)
@SaeedReacts.8 ай бұрын
I definitely need to go back to SOAD. Have many fond memories of the Toxicity album. There are still songs i can sing (badly) word for word after more than 20 years.
@CactuSoul8 ай бұрын
As an armenian I'm grateful that you mentioned SOAD and their work. Armenia has not yet recovered after the last war (although I'm sceptical whether it's over, as time after time (as in Romain's song))) there still are collisions on the borders and still people are dying). I hate war. I try to not even say that word out loud. It gives me a very cold and disgusting feeling. Especially in my native language, where the word sounds like two words together - wall and dream - and it sure feels like building impenetrable walls and choking all the dreams inside. 💔
