This is my favorite Avi song. I consider it my personal mantra when things aren't going quite right. In fact, like many others, I find listening to Avi's music to be therapeutic.

I love how open and interactive they are with their fans. Today, Dany went live on her day off just to interact and answer questions from the fans on Patreon. It's so refreshing to see how genuine and humble they've remained over the years.

i'm 67 years old. discovered One Ok Rock recently. USA here and all we get is FM radio trash that the 'Labels' deem profitable.Taka and the band are the most worthy, most amazing band i've heard in years. my new Favorite Band of All Time. No exaggeration. Taka's voice. and the band.. super tight. they don't get radio play here. i guess money trumps artestry and talent. :(

Have you ever heard over-singing? Sohyang can't sing Western songs. Josh Groban never wants to sing with her on stage, because she's a terrible singer. She screams and it's not musical. David Foster doesn't want to work with her, because her voice is too screechy. You don't know nothing about music.

Avi was born and raised in California. His mother's parents and grandparents...owned a pack station. A place where people could trade in their horses and get a bed and meal before heading out again. No doubt gold miners often came through their place. When he and his family would leave his hometown and head toward his Grandparents, they would pass through this little town with a sign that said "Aberdeen". He loved the name and decided as a youth he would one day write a song about that little town. A lot of my ancestry was from Aberdeen, Mississippi. I suspect there are a lot of Aberdeen's in America.

Show your birthmark again Saeed, if you don't mind. It's so funny how it fits this album.... like a glove (ba dum tish). No but seriously, I really enjoy how you relate to them as fellow creatives. They have a way of making us all feel comfortable with enjoying this space between us, each as ourselves.

Beautiful Tribute to Dolores O'Riordan, lead singer of The Cranberries. It is a great song too and they do a great job with this arrangement! Mitch with his amazing La La part that Delores was so famous for doing. Wonderful 5 part harmony with our man KO joining them and no beat boxing. So much talent! T ✌🏻

Hi Saeed! I'm with you. Faouzia is WAY too unknown. Maybe this will be the one that lifts her out of obscurity. Because this IS a banger! It's strange to think she's obscure, really, but she's had very little visibility, outside of the internet. And the Arabic world. Although her original single for "Tears of Gold" has had, 40,000000 hits. Which is astonishing honestly, seeing as it had such limited airplay. And the duet with John Legend (who admittedly has star power) has a quarter billion views. I guess that's commercial success. But I want her name on everyone's lips, on every radio, on every chart and performing at every awards show. And winning! 🙂

"'Past the Mission' is about a girl who refuses to be a victim anymore," Tori Amos explained in a 1994 issue of the fan magazine Really Deep Thoughts. "But she has to face a lot of thought patterns to do that. I wrote this when I was reading the book Holy Blood, Holy Grail. It talks about different theories on Christ. It talks a lot about Mary Magdalene. It's an underlying theme about how the church, the mission, has suppressed all this truth down through the years - the Goddess energy. They refer to Mary Magdalene as the Black Madonna. She had this cult following in France. They believe that she came to the shores pregnant. When they say the Holy Grail, they mean the Holy Blood, the Blood Royal in her body, Jesus' baby. And some scholars believe this. The other parts don't necessarily ring right, but there have been these secret societies. That's what I'm talking about also in 'Space Dog.' There are loads of secret societies, this is only one of them."
