Exactly. Germanics charlatans. But Roman empire didn't die at 1453 from Ottomans. Two Byzantine cities, Souli (region of Epirus) and Mani (region of Lakonia - the glorious Sparta) was never conquered by Ottomans. Always remained Greek Eastern Roman. 123 battles was given with Ottomans to free mainland Greece but felt. The 124 battle Greek Eastern Romans (Byzantines) won and the new state of Greece born.
