Roman Nose State Park

In this episode, I #wintercamp at #romannosestatepark in western Oklahoma. The weather was initially in the 70s this first week of March, but made a quick turn cold. Camping in western Oklahoma in the winter is a little risky because weather can change immediately and drastically. I sent up my roof top tent at 4:46, I joke around and enjoy cooking dinner at 5:58, I fly my drone for some aerial views of the park at 8:36, and enjoy some coffee with a beautiful sunrise at 12:18. There are some great views of driving through western Oklahoma are at 00:47 and 17:26. enjoy the video!

Chief Henry Roman nose with a pretty unique individual. To be a warrior and then to seek the adjustment of his tribe to new circumstances is a pretty profound life movement.

Interesting glow around the “dusty” sunset.

The wind and the dust is the only explanation I had for that glow.

I think that the weather in western Oklahoma during winter and early spring is very volatile. They have a forecast but I don’t think that you can rely on it and definitely need to have some layers to put on just in case.

I’ve been to Roman Nose one time, but didn’t camp. Had to find geocaches there. The trails are great
