Super nice cleanup! I'm wondering if you would be interested in doing a collection video of sorts? Going over your most interesting coins and their stories?

Increíble, como queda la moneda, enhorabuena.

Great job as always at revealing all the details for this Roman coin. Really like the reverse design of phoenix atop blocks/rocks. Strong features on obverse too. I was surprised you mentioning that the coin was left in distilled water for a week. Interesting.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes I normally give the coins a bit of a soak before taking off any dirt - it really helps to loosen up the sediment.

Хорошо когда грязь и песок, а если окись меди нарушает рельеф, то сложнее.

Awesome work! Do you keep it in distilled water for a week? If so, do you change the water daily? Thx

Thanks for sharing! Always some new things to consider! 🙏. Is it easy to detroy something when using brass tools? Did you use the composite pencil to? 🇸🇪👍

How do you soften the soil?

Soaking in water or olive oil can soften the dirt making it easier to clean

You must get this question a lot, do you ever use an ultrasonic bath ?
@historyathome25 күн бұрын
I’ve definitely been seeing a lot of comments asking about/recommending it. I own a cheaper bath unit but every time I’ve used it, it destroyed the coin. If you know of any resources on ultrasonic coin cleaning specifically I’d love to learn.

@@historyathomeyou should use MS70 that can definitely make the coin shine

Thank you so much for the content, me personally I would enjoy more video on the finer detail cleaning than the general muck cleaning I think more detailed cleaning would be more exciting
@historyathome25 күн бұрын
Noted! I appreciate the feedback! I unfortunately lost all the footage of the detail passes for this cleaning - but I’ll keep it in mind for next time.

Is it appropriate to clean the coin with a sandblasting machine? Please accept my regards. I really enjoyed watching you ♥👌👌

I would imagine that it would be super abrasive and destructive No?
