Zheming looked liked 'what the ____ just happened?! And, you could hear Rod Serling - 'This is Yao Zheming, a handsome purposeful young man who is pursuing a girl and has finally asked her out...and on that day...he entered The Twilight Zone.' 😂 He is just incredulous! And, Chenghuan seems to be blinking code - 'I'm sorry.'🤣 In the car he is the unhappiest man EVER.🤣 And, she knows it. They are hilarious in these scenes...could be silent movie stars by their tell-all expressions. Bravo and Brava to them.👏👏👏

Both brother and sister are so clever, she found out about her brother and best friend in just one look. and her brother immediately sensed something going on between FL and ML. They both understand each other well.

I think Mao ought to be ashamed for jumping her 'little brother.' Surely, as with any friends, if they have younger siblings these become your younger siblings, too. And, you care, look out for, and help them, the same way. This young man is still soooo green that though he's secretly dating he can't even recognize it when others are doing so. Sure, he asked her if Zheming has a crush on her but it was just something in passing - considering he had to be hit over the head by them to realize they were supposed to be on a date. On the other hand, Chenghuan (older and more experienced about life) realized his and Mao's relationship right away. My friends and I would never cross this line and we all have good looking younger and older siblings...BUT, they are 'family' no matter not being so by blood...we feel the 'family'...not one of us is incestuous. Instead we do our due diligence in assessing the women who are interested in our 'brothers.' Not as a full-time job but when we become aware our antennae to protect come out. 😂 All of them would die laughing if they saw this confession by one of the 'sisters' saying we knew it, meddlers!🤣 Anyway, I don't agree that he got it (realized), but that it was given to him.

Momma asked the drunk man "Are you tired of living?" With vehemence🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣...that scene is hilarious. So funny! (OH, and Chenghuan?! For Zheming it's long been wherever you are is where he wanted to be...you've caught this 'fever' too, huh🤭...'cause I KNOW him being at that house is the ONLY reason you're going back to live with your momma. The ruckus opened an opportunity.🥳 You hated to leave out of the police station. But...high five girrrlll. I ain't mad at you about it! Especially since the scene when you left the apartment job and turned that corner and WHAM, there he was 😲 - looking fine as hell!!!! I know you could have fainted having your eyeballs fill your brain and heart so blastingly.💯 But, ML looks like this all the time and his unexpected visits are the norm...just, the point shown of turning that corner...I felt that, and likely all women did and uttered without thinking - DANG. Great one Director.👍)

nahh bruhh i hate fls mother like she only greedy and doesn't understand that what she deems to be happy is making her daughter suffer but at the end of the day she is a mother but she didn't even apologise even one time for the hurting she did duhh this is literally being manupulative and acting innocent like we understand that you had a tough life and all but YOU are YOU your daughter can never BE YOU she hasn't even refected on herself and excuses her irresponsible behaviour for being insensible like YOU are NOT A CHILD anymore sorry for yapping this out but this frustrates me soooo much all along she has been hurt by mother and does everything to please them but .... p.s.-A CERTIFIED HATER:

Actually that drunk man was lucky, it was just Chenghuan’s mother, she hit him with her shoes and he was slightly injured. If it was Yao Zhiming, who knows what he would have used to hit him and what injuries it might’ve caused him, for touching his girl 😂😂😂

those boots they put her in look atrocious lol. why is the writer trying to victimize the mom now? i refuse to be gaslit. her kids were very obedient from the beginning, she drove them to distance themselves from her. the dad really said mother and daughter have the same temperament? he's so delulu. the daughter has way more patience than her mother. she's also way calmer and way more rational to name a few differences. i don't consider her not giving in first to her mom a show of stubbornness, i see it as her taking a necessary stance for the first time in her life against all her mom's actions she kept bearing in the name of obedience and upholding the meaning of her name. anddd the writer gave mom a cop out *sigh*

The woman seems to hate peacefulness. She is a frantic (amok) personality so misunderstands, misinterprets, and is blind and deaf to the pleas of others and/or their rights. Now, she's invading Zheming's peace...waking him up to do what SHE THINKS he ought to be doing...with her husband allowing her, standing by as usual looking helpless and pitiful and wanting/teaching everyone to be the same way to his wife. In her death message, grandma seemed to be finally telling him what she may have wanted to say all along - that he may be a good man in cherishing his wife - BUT - loving only her isn't right. 🤔...In a satiric way...maybe she is right - he has been and is worthless to her well-being. Because she [at least] rightfully knew she had needed an anchor. She is but isn't the problem.

chinese comedy series are often ridiculous, like the father and the son here. They are normally very sensitive and considerate, but suddenly their personalities have changed and have become the opposite. I guess this is for chinese audience who they expect not to catch these inconsistencies so long as the story is funny
