To those who don't speak Mandarin: the audience were also joining the matchmaker (the fox lady) in the play-within-a-play "Romance of the Western Chamber" in yelling "beast in disguise". So, they were not annoyed by her jumping from one table to another at all. The play subtly alluded to Blanca hiding her demon identity among the crowd and the hardships inevitably involved in her marriage with a human. Enjoy the clip.

white snake 2 wasn't great honestly, nice character designs, looks like a cool game design but not a great story. I prefer they just stick to the traditional folklore instead of jumping to parallel universe.

It's a direct sequel to the first White Snake and it end right before two wich is the end of Bianca and Verta's story.

@@WandererofArts456 For me and for the director of the studio Bianca and Verta's story is complete. But for others characters like Baoquing Owner they might get their own film but certainly not now considering that the next movies annonced for Lightchaser are a movie about a spooky chinese story (it's the end credit in White Snake Floating), another one is about the Battle of the three kingdoms and of course there's New Gods part 2. For what I have read since 2026 the studio is going to release two movies by year. So maybe in 2027 we will have this movie about Baoquing but we will see. IMO since the character is popular they should make one but find an interesting angle for her. ^^
