My friend’s mum divorced her loving husband, sold their home and flew to Italy to meet a scammer (who obviously was in Nigeria). Her family were distraught and could not stop her. Now she has retired in poverty.

Blessed be karma! I hope the loving husband didn't take too much of a financial hit, although I imagine that most of what the unfaithful idiot sent to the scammer actually was his assets. At least he has been freed from a woman who did not love him, and would not honor her vows to him.

Yah, her reaction when she was told that Charles was gay and MARRIED to the clean-shaven guy was priceless. It was like she was OK with his 'best friend' being gay, but couldn't compute that it meant Charles was gay. She was still resisting the truth.
