The one time Heihachi did anything to save his son, as far as I know. Also, it's weird that Kazuya's Stage 8 battle is against Roger - I guess they couldn't think of anyone else to go there?

However Roger's music from Fiji stage still plays instead of the middle boss theme often played on stage 8. 9:43 Kazuya fights Heihachi on stage 9 as his sub boss. Heihachi's stage Pagoda Temple plays Kazuya's music in place of the regular stage BGM.

To unlock Kazuya, first beat Arcade Mode with all ten starting characters then beat Arcade Mode as any of those ten sub boss characters.

Kazuya is the only character in this 2nd game's roster to not fight Alex, Roger, or even Kuma on stage 4 if he wins stage 3 with a "great". Since he fights Roger as his stage 8 sub boss. And he's the only character who cannot unlock Roger or Alex.
