The very first romance I ever read was Devil's Desire by Laurie McBain which has an obsessive hero. It is still one of my favorite romances of all time and probably why I love an overprotective obsessed hero. I am currently reading the online Chinese novel Hilarious Pampered Consort: Lord, I Will Wait for Your Divorce which has the epitome of this kind of hero. Unfortunately, it is super long and it is machine-translated which means a lot of 'huh' moments, although there is a site that has about the first 100 chapters (short ones) person-translated. The popular Cdrama series "The Eternal Love" is based on the novel.

I loved "the eternal love" when I watched it years ago and wanted to read the novel but it has thousands of chapters lol. Imma try Devil's desire tho. Hopefully it's good.

I'm also obsessed with the Matthew & Diana characters from the book and Matthew Goode plays him very well. Almost at the end of season 3- so so bittersweet....

The Untouchable series by Heather Long. It's also a reverse harrem. The girl lives with her abusive mom and she has 4 guy best friends. They are very protective of her especially after they decide to all to date her. The plot from the books is really good. And there's a lot of spice. Highly recommend them.

I read Goodread comments on "Grip", and one of them mentioned taht in the 8 year seperation the Hero sleeps around. If it's true, a man that says he is in love, but sleeps around is not an obsessive, in love H.
