💗 I don't understand why people complain when others upgrade their tech when people do it with their phones constantly. If you want a new kindle you go get it hehe! I'm glad this one worked out for you compared to the colourpop. I thought about getting a new kindle as the last one I got was years ago (it's the paperwhite 7th gen) but I also 95% of the time read on my iPad soI will wait it out and see if I really need it 🙈

I got the Paperwhite Signature in raspberry. I have the Oasis so wanted the Signature because it has the auto adjusting light. Also, I’m excited for no ads-first time for that.

Thanks for your review, you showed me a couple of things I didn't know I could do, esp page pinch to alter font size instead of going into settings. From one of the commenters I got another tip, turning on page refresh (in settings) this seems to allow for faster page turning (to me anyway). to stop ghosting you can go to settings -> reading options and turn on page refresh i did it with my kindle and never had any ghosting

Yeah, the Paperwhite and Paperwhite Signature Edition have much better image quality than the Colorsoft or any other color e-reader. Unfortunately, the color E-ink on all e-readers has some visual drawbacks regarding brightness, sharpness, and contrast ratio. The Kindle Paperwhite models also have better battery life than the Colorsoft and proper dark modes.

It's the 12th Gen Kindle, but it has 16GB of storage, to be exact. Ghosting is when a ghostly image of the previous writing/pictures are still slightly visible on the display from the earlier images from the last page you were on. All E-ink displays have this. It's normal for E-ink technology. So you can swipe to refresh or go into the menu and turn on the refresh page option, which will eliminate the ghosting effect.

I got the Colorsoft and it has NONE of the issues being reported and I've seen others saying the same, so it's not all of them.

When you're reading a book or manga on an ereader, there's sometimes some image left over when you swipe a few pages. And the image left over is pretty dim compared to what's on the new page. It goes away when you refresh it.

I think you should be able to buy and return whatever you want and not have people come at you for it! This is one reason I hate social media, because people are trolls and just want to be mean to make themselves feel better. I love that pink! It’s so pretty!
