I think Emmrich is such a sweetheart and a total badass, but man, is he going to have such a hard time when Rook eventually dies from old age

@@Kelsey-w4x if we take context clues into consideration, this scene happens after rook finally escapes from the fade which they were trapped in for weeks according to Bellara, and Emmrich says he was scared he had lost Rook forever. Right as it fades to black here, he says he is never going to let himself and Rook be parted again in this OR any other world. I think this indicates that after experiencing what it feels like to lose Rook, he is going to use his Lich powers to never let Rook die, even if it means breaking rules. It’s terribly romantic to me! Maybe a mourn watch Rook could even dedicate the next several decades to learning to become a Lich too, who knows!

I personally talked him out of Lichdom, because I think he gets too attached to the living and would be sad for eternity. BUT His Lich romance has strong asexuality vibes, which I absolutely adore. Us Aces are so underrepresented, it's great to have a "I'd like to hold you" option in a game like this 💜

@@RedDeadSakharine one thing that really intrigued me and made his lich romance grow on me was, (SPOILER for end game coming!) after Rook gets lost in the fade during the final fight, which is apparently for actual weeks according to bellara, Lich Emmrich says during his final romance scene that he won’t let himself and rook be parted in this or any other world again. (It’s in this video.) this signifies to me that after thinking he lost Rook forever and feeling that heartbreak and fear, he is going to do everything in his new Lich power to never let Rook die, even if it breaks rules. Very intriguing to me! I feel like a necromancer Rook could even learn to become a Lich themselves. It’s all very romantic to me!!

To be clear, I’m absolutely going to romance the old bone man, but I also have logistical questions… Is Rook just like kissing the front of his teeth?

@@Cjg1jn seems like it, I’m not sure if the glamor he uses is solid or just a “hologram” but i think she’s definitely kissing bone/teeth. She does however say she feels his bones “humming” when she touches them, so that’s something lol!

@ right before that, she tells him she can feel the magic “humming” (which to me is a nice way of saying vibrating) in his bones when he touches her, and then she whispers her naughty idea to him, so i have an idea what went down xD
