The whole concept of changing emperors/empresses is amazing. And there's so many ways to do all of the regions, I've never had so much fun playing a game 😁

What's sad is, learning dark magic is practically mandatory to beat this game on expert/romancing.

Yeah so many fusion spells have dark magic it's too bad. Even the new game plus doesn't let you carry over character classes or skills you learnt so you can never have salamanders and dark magic at the same time.

Unfortunately I got the game on Switch. Otherwise I use a PC with an ssd, always loads within 2-3 seconds. I played the demo on PC, ran flawlessly

Me personally I am not learning umbral magic. The lives of the Salamanders are more important than learning that magic. There are dark skills. It's just my personal opinion

Same for me 😊The salamanders are the friendliest group in the game. You can inherit 100% fire immunity as well onto emperor/empress too, definitely not as good as umbral magic but it's still a bonus.

Do you have to do the sailing of the stone boat to trigger the volcano eruption quest?

I don't think it's required, the stone boats can be used to travel there for collectibles

Lo siento, no puedes. Se necesita un salto generacional después de congelar el volcán para que vuelva a entrar en erupción. Pero si estás en el último emperador, será demasiado tarde y no podrás continuar con la línea de búsqueda del volcán. Sorry you cannot. You need a generation skip after freezing the volcano to make it erupt again. But if you are on the final emperor it is too late you cannot continue the volcano quest line.

Oh definitely, the game will even force your current emperor to abdicate the throne unless it's your final emperor. I wish there was a way to catch that evil sorcerer without having to do all this, I knew the ice crystal solution he proposed was too convenient.

Dam, I screwed up 3x. Now I have to replay again to recruit salamander, and another diviner to get both formation. And 3rd to see the dark magic. Oof! 😂

@BAIGAMING I agree. There was a review for ys X Nordics and this romancing saga that came out at the Sametime. The reviewer told me to go play Ys X just because I said I'm not a fan of character dying, but they character here don't die. Only their name and appearance change and are recycled. This game is fun as hell, and I could have saved some money as Ys prices would drop. I'm almost 70 hours in, and I still have 3 more heroes to defeat. Great game. Thanks for not being that a-hole a reviewer. Keep up the good work.

Ugggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!! I selected the first option at the very end when you go back to the diviner🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽 No wonder I can’t use umbrology as the emperor. I’m so annoyed. Im 30 hrs into the game to turn back now but I also messed up the thief quest and did not unlock the martial artist. Oh well let’s restart my game.

Hmmm that's too bad. Depending on how far you are in the game you could also try doing new game plus, the alternate quest results are interesting except missing out on classes. But new game plus isn't so good, you need to re-unlock all classes and re-glimmer all skills. It's not all bad because you can use salamanders if you don't take umbrology and I think you can get a passive to null 100% fire damage or something like that and you can inherit it to the emperor.

Same. I did both but continued my playthrough with Diviner & Umbral Magic, but I felt so sad afterwards. The salamanders were bros 😭
