Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song -- All characters complete!

SPOILERS! (but I advise you to keep reading)
Explanation: In Romancing Saga there's 8 characters. Each playthrough takes around 40 hours. Each time we get VERY little unique footage (as shown by my character videos). But apparently the big reward you get for beating all 8 characters is this almost 5 minute long cutscene showing the characters talking. And... I gotta say, a lot of people called this an EXTREME let down and really not worth beating the game so many times.... Do I agree? Is it worth playing the game for over 400 hours for this scene? .... No... I disagree with both. It's not worth playing the game through so many times for this! AND it's not a letdown!
After spending over 400 hours playing the game with (for the most part) identical cutscenes, just exchanging the main characters...... we get a cutscene where ... they're all together, talking, we get some kind of conclusion (Hawke has a........ nevermind!) and it feels awesome. But I still would not advice you people to try to get this yourself! I try playing through these scenarios and record them, to show it to you guys, so you don't need to get it yourself!
Weeeellll last thing to do now is beat 10 fatestone Saruin and I'll be done.... For a few months at least. I know I still have to record the Gray, Barbara and Jamil playthrough, but I did this much, I deserve a freaking vacation now, don't I?

I loved this. I didn't even know there would be a special ending when you finish with all 8 characters so this was a special and a bit of an emotional ending. To see all these characters who you helped get to that point, only for them to come together one final time and LEAVE TOGETHER? almost got a little teary eyed. This game is my most favorite RPG of all time (next to Final Fantasy Tactics), and it's the game that inspired me to create a KZbin series I'm currently working on where I'm going to give this game as much love as I can (while also throwing some constructive criticism too). I really hope I do the game justice, as I love everything about this game from the painting style, the character designs, the beautiful places you visit and the colorful people you meet, to even the fantastic music. Thank you for taking all of this time to make this video. I really loved it and it just brings back so many memories.

I recorded most of these videos so that noone has to try and beat all characters. This saves times and all. There was a lot of people who had HIGH expectations for this, but ... yeah, how could people expect something else? I know games that do deliver like... an extra character, but.... 8 playthroughs and then 1 more? ... noooo that'd be cruel. Well I might be sick of this game by this point, but ... ehhhh why not ? When will you start posting the videos?

I don't know yet since currently I'm getting my own gameplay footage recorded and the script written before I move on to audio and the like, but it's only going to be one episode about this game before I move on to other games. My series is basically about highlighting hidden and underrated games such as Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song, where you barely hear about them or might not even know they exist, or you know they exist but they didn't get as much love as they deserved. After this I think my next episode might be about a great game I loved called GunGrave and it's sequel. But yeah Romancing SaGa gets the honor of being the very first episode since it's my favorite RPG of all time.

I just completed the playthrough of my 8th hero recently, and it's nice to be able to watch this scene again without having to beat Saruin and watch the ending scenes again. Thanks for doing this! I still haven't beaten 10FS Saruin, and by extension haven't unlocked the extra Superbosses, though. The status ailments and amount of turns he gets are so brutal xD That aside, your videos on Scarlet make me want to try that out.

@@FarelTheGiraffe It could definitely be done much faster than I went, since I tried to do as many quests as I could, but even regardless it's definitely easier! Being able to carry over stuff really makes such a difference, like being decked out in Field Plate and tempered weapons from the start. I bet Diana could beat the dragon at the start of Albert's scenario utilizing New Game+ stuff. And I will definitely keep an eye out for your review. I'm looking forward to it.

1. You increase your LP by completing the Faierie's Grove quest 2. Beast fangs are randomly dropped by monsters, usually beasts 3. Yes, the red mage is not a permanent, as far as I can tell, people used cheats in the Japanese version to get him. Emmm would you mind asking some of these questions on a different video sometime? Some Romancing Saga videos have no comments at all...

I think I got through like 6 characters and never finished off the last ones. Mainly because by the 6th one it was "Screw management or long game plans like the Jewel Beast or Schirach, the main characters become "Whatever, hit the cutscenes, grind, beat the boss on a low difficulty because who cares"

It does get repetitive and I did jump towards some wacky party planning later on, but I still ended up beating the game like 13 times all around. I kept my distance since, I sometimes think back, but...... no, I don't want to go back.

I always imagine Gray and Claudia being closer than just team members maybe that`s just me but I think they make a great pair if they aren`t already. Gray is win though he is by far the coolest of the 8 and my personal favorite he has great speed too! so how long did it take you to clear all 8 main characters? I`ve only finished 1 Barbara and working on a Claudia run now.

Dehydrated plants are not the weakest plants, so it should not be impossible to find one. Also, as I check, mining a Marcasite shouldn't be impossible either, especially at battle ranks of 4-7, 10 being the max and all. These are some possible mining grounds: Inside the Nisa Cavern in the Desert Ruins, The Aquamarine cave, Bayre Plateau, Aurefont Mine (only if during the actual quest), the caves on the plains, The Geckling cave and of course Mt. Tomae.

You have to complete the Assassin's Guild quest as Jamil, BUT before that you have to disband Dowd from your team. Then he'll be unlocked to recruit for all other characters, but you'll have problems with that if you have Jamil in your party. Well the strongest basic staff would be the Serpent Staff from the Insect Ecology quest, but you could otherwise evolve the Quarterstaff into something with higher attack power than 30.

There's 3 minions, Spite, Scorn and Strife. You do need to defeat Scorn during Ailing Emperor, Pirate Invasion, or An Unlucky Woman, and talk to Death in the Netherworld in a single playthrough. Then next time, Darque will be unlocked!

Emmm Jewel Beast ... it depends, if you want the hard version, it's easy, just go to Weston at a late stage in the game and he'll be there. If you want him easier then you need to beat all Frontier quests as early as possible AND the Assassin's Guild quest. Then you'll have the Jewel Beast's lair unlocked and then you have to keep defeating the pillar guarding monsters. then you can fight the beast down there in an easier form and keep all 3 frontier towns intact.

First you need to defeat the silver dragon in *silver's treasure* then you need to visit the south eastern room in the melvir sewers, BEFORE the Pirate invasion quest, then you beat the quest, reenter that room, and a pirate in it will lead you to the Pirate coast, there in the cafe, she'll be hiding somewhere and you can recruit her......... It's a little complicated, yeah

Well, I've read up a lot of FAQs online and bought the game with a guide. It all served me well, but people rant how they're too lazy to read stuff.... really, the remake even has in game NPCs who tell you a lot about the mechanics of the game and yet they demand more instructions. Ehhh in September I'll start posting guide videos to teach em whippersnappers a thing or two... Also thanks a bunch for subscribing! :)

A lot of things imply something being there. Claudia and Gray share a lot of time in the game's opening and there's other hints there. I like Gray myself, but partly cause he just seems like a cool guy, and not some sad scarred loner. HOW LONG? Geeee... hard to tell. I started recording August 2010, but I had 5 playthroughs before that So maybe since Summer 2008? The accumulated gameplay time must be over 500 hours... what a sad pathetic existence I have... :(

3F? I suppose you mean 3BF or something. Easiest and fastest way to get there is to just look throught the graves in the Estamir Catacombs. As hard as you'll try, eventually you'll fall down and that floor will be the 3BF. At least I think that's what you mean, but I'm not too sure how that goes with getting mullock.

I beat the remastered with all 8 characters and the ending was no different then how the characters normal ending was. I never finished any of the original characters so not sure if you have to do something to trigger this, all i know was finished with Al as my 8th character and he did his bit and walked through the door befor being asked to save. So is this in the remastered and i just some how skipped it ir was it removed?
