We didn't have any debt in 1989, but there were 3 hour queues for bread. Meanwhile, Yugoslavia didn't have this problem being closer to Europe, ideologically.

useless? do you have any idea how much economic potential those countries have? and that potential will be exploited;

but that's that big of a deal either; Romania and Bulgaria will probably undergo huge economic growth on par with turkey within the next few years; certainly once the eurozone crisis ends, the economies of those two countries will skyrocket

... apparently this is Bulgaria. But the truth is quite different. Poverty, misery, unemployment, growing corruption, depopulation of villages and towns, high mortality, low wages - € 150, high food prices. Bulgaria was the first among the other countries of Europe, where food is the most - expensive.

@Muhafaka8 жыл бұрын

turkey isn't that great; it's gdp per capita is about the same as Romania, Bulgaria, Albania and whatever you said there; it has a huge economic potential because of its population growth and already large population but per capita, like i said, gap per capita not much better than south east europe; also the value of its population growth is reduced by the lack of quality education for many turks; what turkey does have is a huge economic growth;

who the hell cares? I am tired of seeing that stupid ceausescu's policies praised; so what if there was no debt in 1989? there was also NO FOOD! currently romania's public debt is 30% of gdp; the EU limit on that debt for stability purposes is 60% in other words romania still hugely benefits from little public debt; so what? there's also little economic growth; it's not the debt that's the problem it's what you do with it; it should be invested; I for one trust the EU a million times more

I am Romanian. You are a television presenting exactly what you are commanded to present. And it is not Merkozy the monster having placed this order. Oh, and nobody enjoys being in the EU, not the folks anyway.

hahaha I am a Political Scientist. You do not support Scottish Independence, so, you are one of those who `take advantage of` the existing English colonialism. Very well, support the independence or not, Scottish people are definitely second-class citizens of the UK. Your support of colonialism that doesn`t make you a `first-class` citizen.

Well I don't know if Turkey is European or not, but it's the 15th largest economy in the world and 5th largest economy of Europe with 10% economic growth per year. And it's way better developped than Bulgaria and Romania.
