The chant is : "Allez Rapid allez" , and the other one : "booom ee eee ee" instead of "uuuh eee eee " The last one :"Sapunaru, Cristi Sapunaru" , the captain (no 22) and the heart of the team, very respected by the fans . He had some discipline problems one week ago on the other match againstFCU Craiova, he took part in a fight at the end of the game and was very blamed on all the tv shows and sports media. All the banners ("SAPUNARU, MANDRIA NOASTRA"/ Sapunaru, our pride) were made by the fans to show their love and support for him. Hai Rapid! "Vișiniu" is the romanian word for rapid's color The legends says it was the tailor lady who got angry at players for using the original white shirts at the railway work, and she told them to choose vișiniu so it would not look as bad if dirty with rust from the iron

I think the color in english is called burgundy red. In romanian it is called „vișiniu” wich basically translates as „sour-cherry red”.

Yeah, although sour-cherry purple would be correct as well. The reason Romanian has this color as separate might be because the old royal purple, that the Byzantine emperors used, made from slug mucus, was in fact very close to this shade of very reddish purple.

Cool, there's some excitement in the tribunes more than on the field, hahaha. People enjoy being together and act united to support their favorite team, which is amazing for these times. My favorite travelers are back. :) So the first time you guys came to one of our games, our stadium was under construction. Old stadium was on the same spot as this new stadium, and it was demolished, so this stadium you guys went to now was still not ready, which means you guys went to the National Stadium instead, where games were being played. This time around, you came to our stadium, Giulesti. The chant you were trying to chant: "haide Rapid, ole!"

We can't sell beer with alcohol at the stadium yet. Because Romanian football legislation forbids it, by law. Blame our leaders. But our owner said he'll try to change that and maybe we'll be able to introduce beer with alcohol at the stadium soon enough. Also, we'll have our own beer soon, it'll be called Nemțeana Giuleșteana. When you'll have the chance to go to Romania again, maybe you'll go to Giulesti again. We'll have our museum and a civilized fan shop, let's say we'll have them both ready in a year or maybe less. Forza Rapid!

Player with number 22 (Sapunaru) is one of the most representative for Rapid Bucuresti.. Not many years ago, he won the uefa europa league final with Porto (from Portugal) - if u search for him on youtube you will find him with conforter with Rapid on the pitch at the end of that game. With number 96 is Papeau (he just arrived at Rapid this summer) and become very fast like the "best juice" for the fans cause he have high skills how you already seen at the end of this game, he is very stong player with good dribbling skills (on Giulesti Stadium this makes fans to love you so much). And yeah.. This stafium is smaller then the older but he is more fancy 😍 and looks full at every game 😊😊. We are waiting for you at another games, guys. Thank you 🤗🤗

Yaaay glad to see this.. I was born in that neighborhood, I lived in the appartment blocks next to the stadium and I used to go to the games with my grandfather when I was little. I caught the generation of Pancu, Lupu who by that time was a bit old and massive, but he was like a tank on the field, Lobonț... We went to the celebration when they won the cup, it was a real show on the streets of our beloved neighborhood... Pfff so many wonderful memories 😌
