12:26 this comment is ridiculous. In American football you count 6 points for a touchdown, 3 for a field goal etc. then it is clear that so many points are seen on the scoreboard. Imagine in European football (soccer) they will count for example 6 points per goal from outside the penalty area, 3 per goal from inside the area, 2 per goal from a corner kick and an extra penalty after scoring from outside the area as the extra point (safety) after a touchdown. Then you would also see many points on the scoreboard. You should also understand that it is more difficult to play with the ball on the grass with your foot than with the egg under your arm and running.

This game is about positioning, the goalie and the defenders need to move in a way that doesn't give an opportunity to shoot at all or close the space so the striker can possibly shoot at specific area of the goal that is protected. Good strikers are a dime a dozen good goalies are rare much harder to be a good goalie

That is why Strikers cost around $120,000,000 average ones cost $20,000,000 and Goalkeepers 5 times less. A Great striker is priceless like Haarland of Manchester City in England with 45 goals in 31 Top Flight Games.
@korganrocks3995 Жыл бұрын
@@Isleofskye They won the league last year without a striker. Players who create goals out of nothing are priceless, players who competently finish decent chances are just expensive. Haaland is a bit of the former and a lot of the latter, which is why he's a superstar, but give me a player who creates a ton of chances over a good finisher any day.
@Isleofskye Жыл бұрын
@@korganrocks3995 Fair Enough but, certainly,as I am in my 7th decade of attending, not for me. Obviously,a genius like DebRuyne or quality like Grealish are vital but as Chelsea have shown, without a quality striker it makes it more difficult as The Terminator is, virtually, on a goal per game, which, immediately, gives you a great chance. Strikers like THe Robot come along once a generation in our league:)
@korganrocks3995 Жыл бұрын
@@Isleofskye As a Swede, I have had years of watching a mediocre team fail to provide adequate service to a world class striker, and trust me when I say I'd have swapped Zlatan for a creator without hesitation. Having played with players above, beneath and at my own level I can definitely say that I'd much rather play as a midfielder with bad strikers than as a striker with bad midfielders.

Futbol is about skill, jogo bonito, the beautiful game, la gambeta, the german tactic, the english fast pace, la samba from brazil. Players are worshipped like gods in some countries; Maradona is placed together with jesus when praying in argentina. People are killed in the most brutal crowds; players have been murdered for making mistakes in important games, some even make following their team a way of life. You only see that type of passion in the game of the people.

The endurance needed in football is crazy... I played pro basketball in Italy and one year we were doing outdoor athletic with a serieB football team, not even serieA ,and i remember the shock, how fast and how much time they was running... An African teammate of mine was challenging them, he was a 6'6" beast from Senegal named Ousmane Gueye, by far our most athletic man, and no way, he didn't achieve to beat anyone in that team

The fact the games are 90mins/45mins per half and most games a low scoring games because its so difficult to break teams down and get through on goal is what makes its so good when your club scores there's matches that go through the entire 90mins with the score 0-0 then there will be anywhere from 1min added time to 6mins added time at the end of the match becuase of stoppages like fouls injuries and set pieces then your team scores in the final seconds of the game its things like thay which make football the biggest sport on the planet and why we love it so much.

The beautiful game. So cultured, and revered as the number one sport around the world. And it brings everyone together without prejudice. You can put a ball down in any park, beach or wherever, in ANY country and you’ll bring people together in shared passion, love and happiness. A VERY powerful thing in a world we’ve been led to believe is full of hate. You boys want an English team to follow? Try my team, Sunderland, only then will you learn the definition of heartache. 😂 ✌🏼

Being the goalie on the field is the hardest job easily in football, it is preposterous how hard people can kick that ball, you have to guess most of the time. Now, i've never been a goalie but knowing how hard even a guy like me can kick the ball and how little time they have to react in that chaotic moment is something else.

the reason why i like football is because of the reason 1 goal can already make the difference. if your team is up or down just by 1 goal especially early on, you will be on your seat the whole time wondering can they catch up or will the other team score. while in american football or more in the nba the game only gets exciting in the last few minutes since mostly its just a back and forth in points. i mean even if you lead with 12 points in the nba that is really nothing. but yea thats just me

Yes, in the end you might end up scoring one goal, but during the match you never know when the perfect situation gonna come, so as you watch you're on the edge all the time. 45 min, break, 45 min, sometimes extra time, when in the last moment another goal may be scored, which can change the whole outcome. The game sometimes can be boring as hell, but it can also prove more exciting than ever, there's always this sense of surprise instead of just counting which team scores more one by one. Football is all about leaving the heart on the field for this one perfect moment and I find it much more exciting than any other sport

You gotta learn how the teams setup and play strategies against each other. It makes the slow parts really interesting. When game changes happen, the whole lineups change. Similar to football but drawn out. Sometimes you see a strategy straight up reck another team that has better players.

Every sport is unique and has skills required. Personally the skills in the NFL and Rugby are less than others. Its not hard to run holding a ball and try to avoid defendive players. Football as the World knows it, is an incredibly skillful game and those who have played it know this. For me it has everything a sport should have. The aggresion (just watch a derby like Sevilla Vs Betis in Spain, or Genoa Vs Samp in Italy), the skill, the incredible drama of late goals and comebacks and promotion and relegation. And incredible fan involvement. So much passion.

The thing with NFL and rugby is you need to be big, strong and willing to workout so that is a skill set required

being goalie is harder, you gotta have quick reflexes, know how to dive for the ball, know how to dive without getting hurt and have amazing focus on the ball, on the player and on the suroundings. being a right wing/ left wing or attacker you gotta have fast legs and great focus
