Actually, English simply went to using the plural form. The singular form, thou, thee, thy, thine /I, me, my, mine... Only Americans say, You're welcome, the rest of the world uses either it's nothing, it's a pleasure, or both. Please leave the Americanism to the dopey Yanks. It's not as if we are inviting someone to stay.
