Raindrop Motifs for Rainy Season || Tie Dye Shibori with Favorite Dye

1. Teknik Melipat
Lipat kain dengan teknik lipatan akordion (zigzag) secara rapih dan tertata, jangan sampai lipatan satu menutupi lipatan lainnya, agar zat warna meresap secara merata.
2. Teknik mengikat
Mulai mengikat dari bagian dada / lengan, jepit dahulu bahan yang akan diikat agar lipatan yang sudah dibuat tidak berubah posisinya, juga memudahkan kamu saat proses pengikatan dengan tali.
Pilih tali berbahan dasar poliester, seperti tali rapia atau nylon.
semakin kencang ikatan yang dibuat maka makin sedikit motif yang dihasilkan, dan sebaliknya.
3. Teknik pewarnaan
Pemilihan zat warna sangatlah penting untuk hasil dari tie dye. Karena setiap zat warna memiliki daya serap yang berbeda, dan peran bahan yang digunakan juga sangat mempengaruhi hasil motif yang akan dibuat.
Zat yang digunakan dalam video ini adalah naptol. Naptol memiliki daya serap sedang, sehingga tidak menyerap terlalu banyak pada kain yang dicelup. Menghasilkan warna putih yang dominan.

2. Binding Technique
Start tying from the chest / arm, clip first (can use a paper clip) so that the position does not change, and makes it more easier.

3. technique
The choice of dye is very important for the results of the tie dye. Because each dye has a different absorption, and the role of the materials used also greatly affects the results of the motif that will be made.
The dye used in this video is naptol. Naptol has moderate absorption, so it doesn't absorb too much into the dyed fabric. Produces a dominant white color.

Naptol (per grams) (1 gr naptol + 0,5 gr caustik soda) + 2gr diazonium salt Example : So if you dye 1 x 1 meter fabric U ll need 2 different container, the first container is 5 gr naptol mix with 2,5 gr caustic soda, and then for the second container is diazonium salt for 10 gr. Dip to 1st container then dip to 2nd, if u want a darker color, repeat start from 1st. 💙🤍
