I, senator Carlos, am here today in order to adress a reality that some of my peers in the senate have been overlooking, which is the fact that in order to truly consolidate the western parts of the Empire, in this case Hispannia, have to be taken back into Roman hands. Although you have, in a fantastic way, already began to expand into those lands, it must be a priority to fully reclaim them back before we seek expansion to the east.

I give my greetings to his Imperial majesty, Aurelian V. I have come before you today to put forward new suggestions for how Rome might propser. Firstly, I believe the most important issue is the Muslim threat. Due to our rivalry with Aegyptus we have left the Muslims' to grow unrivalled. We must take action and destroy the Muslim threat before it unifies and becomes a great threat against us. Secondly, I'd like to propose that we continue our expeditions into Hispania. It will only be a matter of time until they unify under a single banner to try oppose the glory of Rome. Lastly, I propose we finish conquering Greece. Salve Great Senate and Great Emperor First i would like to congratulate you on your victory on finally destroying Aegyptus! But there is but much debate surrounding the religion in pur dear empire, and i think instead of potentially alienate half of the empire on either direction, i think its time to establish a true Roman religion based on the great Aurelian Dynasty that has lead us to great victories in the recent years, in a way that pleases both of the religious sides! and also i think we should start the preparations to move constantinople, the last and greatest Roman Capital. It is I, G413. I am deeply sorry for my long period of absence from the Senate, for I was on a trip to the lands of Sinae. I suggest for the newly-crowned Emperor of the Western Roman Empire to tighten his grip on Hispania and drive back the barbarians that hold it. Burgundia must also be dealt with swiftly for they could pose a threat if we turn our back towards for long enough. Once that the lands of Western Rome have re-claimed, we should build up both our old land and newly gained lands, and then strike at the Muslims, retake Orientis and Asiae from them.

Emperor! I wholeheartedly support senator Carlos' proposal, and would like to add that it should be a priority to recapture the Dalmatian coast. These will ensure that our legions can march to Greece and Constantinople without harassment from the barbarians. As to what used to be the provinces of Moesia and Dardania, they have grown poor and infest by brutish tribes, entrenched in the mountains. It is of no need to waste the lives of good roman soldiers in these accursed lands. We should look across the Aegean, and seize the rich cities of Anatolia, paving the way to our encirclement of Syria...
