Most of the imperial jewels were either taken out of the country or sold at auctions after the Bolshevik Revolution, but some of them can still be seen on display in Moscow.
We do not know exactly how large the Romanov family's jewelry collection was since all the information we have comes from the fraction of it that fell into the Bolsheviks' hands after the 1917 revolution. And even those items did not resurface straight away. The royal treasures were usually kept in the diamond room of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, but during World War I the Romanovs' crown jewels were sent to the Kremlin Armory for safekeeping. They remained there, buried under other boxes, until the Bolsheviks rediscovered them in 1922.
Elesaveta Petrovna of Russia (died in 1761) sorry for the error

Interesting video, but however I would have preferred the video went more slowly, as I found it difficult to keep up with the speed. It would be most appreciated if you were willing to take your time. Thank you!

So Empress Elizabeth lived to be 252 which would mean that she was the only Russian monarch between Ivan VI and the revolution!

The world was a bit of a rougher place for everyone back then, and social inequality was, though a bigger problem in Russia, a problem even in the gilded cities of Paris, Vienna, Rome, and Brussels. It is of note that during the last few years preceding the Russian revolution, the Russian empire was experiencing a level of growth and social uplifting that Russia wouldn’t see again until the late 1990s. What was allowed to happen during and after the revolution, to the Romanovs and to the Russian people, was a tragedy. It is an interesting fun fact that one of the wealthiest and most socially progressive cities in the world around this time was Buenos Aires, in South America, even despite massive immigration.

It saddens me that these jewels (many tiaras and kokoshnik crowns) are in England. I hope that one day they will return to their homeland in Russia and will be kept in the Hermitage Winter Palace, where they belong
