Thank you for your wonderful expository preaching Pastor Matthew! If only I lived closer, I'd absolutely come to Gospel Fellowship. Lord bless you all, from Kate on Cape Cod.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

I love thy preaching style, and wish I can attend personally! And for the evangilization, I am dumb (in the konservative medical sense); but I try sharing what I can do. I love a quote from my former pastor "Ye either have to be childlike in mind, or dumb, to not be in shame sharing the Gospel. If ye are ripe, ye became overripe; and thus, a foul fruit." I do not know how well it functions in English; e.g., ripe in German means either you have fully grown into adulthood, or into a certain stage (i.e., get a certain degree, or have a certain status in your church "I riped to be a youth pastor")

Hello pastor, I've a question, it's not related to sermon. What are your thoughts on Protestant reformed Church of America (PRCA)? is it a good and godly denomination?

We missed out on the 3rd question at the end

Might I suggest a fourth closing questions? Are we Christians? At the beginning of Matthew 18, in answer to the disciples desire to be great in the Kingdom of Heave, our Lord told them pointedly that they must first be converted or they (the 12) would never enter the Kingdom of God.

Reformed Christian from South Africa here. I'm quite curious, what is the purpose of the empty chairs behind the pulpit?

I don’t go to his church, but our church has almost the same thing, it’s most likely for the choir.

@@bloodban716 Interesting. We might have choirs for special occasions, but as a rule, all singing is done by the congregation.
@bloodban71620 күн бұрын
@@Hannodb1961 a lot of churches in the US have a choir that sings, usually behind the pulpit, every Sunday. I do prefer congregational singing though, gives more of the impression that we are all one body singing together, worshiping God together.
@Hannodb196120 күн бұрын
@@bloodban716 It's not only a preference, it is a command. "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you *teach and admonish one another with* all wisdom through *psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit,* singing to God with gratitude in your hearts." - Col 2:16 Not saying the use of choirs are wrong, but if there are _no congregational singing at all_ and its replaced with choirs or bands, then that is not biblical.
