10:45 The issue is it has now been public for months, so it can no longer be resolved privately. That cat was let out of the bag when Tobias took to public slander. 11:00 Longer than a month is not an unrealistic timeline for resolution. 13:21 The sheep on the fringes of the flock are the first to see the wolves. If she shepherds refuse to address their bleats, they are also the first to be eaten. 18:20, 19:10 This is not something coming from only young men. I am a father of 3, my wife and I are both in our 30s, own a large swath of land with livestock, 3 cars, 2 houses - one of which my elderly father lives in at my expense, all debt free, I am deacon/elder of my church (same position) and set to be elected a member of my town council. When do I cease to be a young, fatherless man? 19:30 Never heard of Joel Webbon, Stone Chior, Sam Holden, etc. before this debacle. I had heard of Andrew Isker before because he was on your programming. Your sheep seek truth (Logos) and will crowd around shepherds speaking it. If you are losing people to these other pastors, check yourself, not your sheep. "My sheep know my voice."

If you cared about both men you should have done more to reconcile everyone rather than divide with public scrutiny. But eschatology matters has been a pretty reliable source in the reformed world and they took Toby’s video down because of how inaccurate it was. His entire video was clearly geared towards destroying Joel and his ministry. I believe that the zoom call revealed that, at the very least, Tobias was very misleading when he said that he didn’t ask Joel to exercise church discipline. It’s also pretty sad that the call ends with Joel and his church member making their points of view clear, repenting for any immaturity, and practically begging Tobias to let them know if there’s anything else he would want to see from them- Tobias says no and that he’ll be praying for them….then he goes and makes that video going for Joel’s throat like some woke mob. I think that alone is gross.

My problem has been that I have been locked out of Xitter for 2 1/2 years. So I had not been following this. And every time I started to watch a video, there was no recap/background. The two things are mutually exclusive. The history of America is ethnic conflict which accelerated since immigration was opened up to the third world. We have piles of civil rights laws regulating the interaction between the different racial and ethnic groups because it is patently obvious that these groups cannot live in liberty among each other. The accusations of racism or kinism is a false framing of the situation. My views are not anti anything, but a positive affirmation of our American national identity. All Nations are defined by race and ethnicity and America is defined by White Anglo-Saxon Protestantism. Maintaining a demographic homogeneous people is simply maintaining the ethnos of your nation. There's nothing racist about it. It is merely definitional.

You guys have lost whatever good intention you had when starting this process. Stop being an example of moral grandstanding empty piety and repent and seek reconciliation.

The declaration was poorly thought of, shouldnt have even been written, and really isnt much of a "declaration" given it only has a dozen or so names unlike the Statement on Social justice and the gospel, the Nashville statement, or the Danvers statement. Doug's still tremendous, he just needs to go back to the "No Quarter November" mindset.

In Antioch, Paul criticized Peter for favoring the Judaizers. The camps contained Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, homosexuals, unionists, communists, gypsies, and politicos. The group that they are worried about is the only group, by definition, which could not contain any Christians. They can not see the irony? Once again, they are favoring the Judaizers.
@PeteJab15 күн бұрын
It’s called the Antioch Declaration because they are using the example from scripture of when Paul confronted Peter “to his face” in Antioch.
@YayGrr115 күн бұрын
@@PeteJab That's not the explanation the declaration gives. The explanation in the declarations is essentially "Real Christians will sign this, those who don't aren't real Christians." I quote: "Christ's followers were first called Christians in Antioch."

It seems that all the Joel/Wolfe/Conn/nazi memes are not sinful fans have really missed anything said here and as said either their attention is really not that great, for those who watched and did not understand a word that was said and misrepresent the people from the video in their comment or clearly they hear all of it and misrepresent them because their presuppositions in loyalty to Joel and alike group instead of Biblical truth and reality takes priority....

I am disappointed that it took 18 minutes to get to the Why of the 'Antioch Declaration'. 18 minutes of talking about some meme and personal dispute of which I and probably most could care less about. The 'other' side is just as guilty I'm sure. I have high regard for Joe and Doug. Need to separate the topics. Antioch or 'the other guy' but not both.

Watching this when you have no idea what they are talking about is quite annoying, please get to the topic quicker next time.❤

This is very frustrating. I love the Ezra men but RJ Rushdoony was convinced the Holocaust narrative affirmed in the Antioch statement was actually a dangerous lie and product of WWII propaganda. Rushdoony is prophetic when he speaks of the evils and upheavals the false Holocaust narrative would produce downstream. The Antioch Declaration and division surrounding it is an example of this. Rushdoony’s is not a fresh take. Ezra doesn’t seem to budget for the power of war propaganda, instead they’re taken in by it.

The Holocaust is one of the best documented events in modern history. We have testimony from people from all different countries. We have prison records, interviews, photographs, shoes, camps. We have an entire generation who witnessed it. Including Christians like Corrie ten Boom. We have Holocaust survivors still alive in America today. I mean what more do you want?
@LanceJRoberts8 күн бұрын
No he wasn't. Rushdoony only said we have to be careful on what numbers are being ascribed to it. He knew well about genocide being Armenian.
@David-kd1rw8 күн бұрын
@@LanceJRoberts He said much more than that. You should read his chapter on bearing false witness in his Institutes of Biblical Law.

@@David-kd1rw I think that's the section I was referring to. I've been attacked publicly in my political career for standing up for Rushdoony and his view that we should make sure we do the proper research, all framed as me saying the Holocaust didn't happen, which is just stupid. The GI's who went there and the other testimonies show us of that the death camps existed, Rushdoony just points out that we aren't really sure of the quantities of death.
@David-kd1rw8 күн бұрын
@ I agree that it’s incorrect to pretend it did not happen. However, repeating a lie about an evil foe is to also engage in evil - I believe that was a larger point of Rushdoony. It’s also a sad commentary that our society is so numb to evil that 2 million killed is insufficient to create a stir, so the horror gets exaggerated to 6 million. The official numbers is what I was referring to when I wrote “narrative”.
