Working though this series is such a blessing. I was also quite surprised how much the holiness movement in the States differed from growing up in South Africa's Church of the Nazarene - I guess someone figured out that you can't do holy, you have to be holy. My dad had all the church manuals since the fifties, and the ones from the 80's were encyclopedia sizes. They're a lot thinner now I see.
