Thank you for this thorough exploration of one of my favorite chapters. I have a related story, something that changed my own views on divisive issues. Years ago I had a church friend who was preparing to go to college. I also knew her mother, who was a migrant from China and a very holy and faithful Christian. She (the mother) was concerned about the college her daughter wanted to go to, because they believed some things about human sexuality that she believed were sinful. So she was torn between wanting her daughter to grow up in righteousness, and wanting her daughter to go where she (the daughter) thought God was calling her to. After praying about it for days, she (the mother) told us that she had a dream about Acts 10, in which Peter saw a sheet come down from heaven holding all sorts of non-kosher animals, and God told him "do not call unclean what God has made clean," after which Peter went and brought the good news to some gentiles. This was why she decided to let her daughter go to that college. As far as I know, the daughter is still a devout Christian, and I might even be attending her wedding soon.

Romans 14 debunks Cancel Culture. However, there are things that are worthy of Cancelling: Prosperity Gospel Word of Faith Theology Hyper-Grace Legalism Liberalism HyperCharismania

I entirely concur with you, Pastor. It is critical to have conviction for ourselves and to continually examine our hearts to determine if we are in an upright state and acceptable to God.

When we know that being "Born Again" is the work of the Holy Spirit and NOT about on the things we choose NOT to do, doon lang tayo matitigilan maging "modern day pharisee"

Nagcacause din po ng division yung sa paggamit ng transliteration name na Jesus, even yung God and Lord dahil daw may mga pagan origins ito some are insisting to call Almighty Father and Messiah in their Hebrews name kasi yun daw po ang true name but even that there's still debate kng ano ang correct spelling at pronunciation. But God is omniscient, He is the creator of language itself, I prayed about it and have peace in my heart that whether I am used to call Him sa English or Tagalog it does not matter as long as in my heart there is conviction that He is the one I'm referring to

Hello Pastor, what version of the Bible are you using? Because in the ESV, Romans 14 has the title of "Do Not Pass Judgment on One Another". On a side note, Dr. Gavin Ortlund (of Truth Unites YT channel) wrote a book entitled, "Finding the Right Hills to Die On: The Case for Theological Triage". It's a fantastic book that provides helpful advice to discern which convictions that are essential to our Christian faith/the health of the church and needs to be defended vs. personal ones that are non-essential to the advancement of the gospel. Thank you and appreciate your vlog! First-time listener here.
