Romans 8 - Nothing Can Separate Us from God's Love || Bible in Song || Project of Love

It took me a while to understand and appreciate the book of Romans.
In fact, it's only recently that this book opened up to me. But this time I felt guided by the Holy Spirit and that makes all the difference ;)
I could hardly finish a chapter 'cause I was overwhelmed by so much beauty, wisdom and insight. I must have written 3 of 4 songs per chapter. And Romans 8 gave me a whopping 8 songs or so! 😅
This is the first of that Romans 8 series. And maybe the most important one at that ❤️
I want to tell you a short testimony of my wife Janis.
A little more than 5 years ago she gave her life to Jesus. After having made a spectacular mess of her life. She and I, both, btw ;)
Anyway, a few months after her conversion she was in the kitchen, talking to God. And she told Him she felt so bad, so unworthy of His love. And feared she could never make up for the mess she had made, in her past life.
Then, she told me later, she felt as if she was struck by lightning and felt God's indignation.
And God told her, in no uncertain terms, dear Djen, please listen to me and get this through your head:
I love you and that is my choice, and my choice alone.
Even if you don't ever pray again, even if you don't ever talk to me again: I love you and nothing you'll ever do or say can ever change that.
When she heard that, she almost felt sick to her stomach..it was more love than she could handle.
And in the time following she learned what it meant to be a child of God and developed one of the most beautiful and natural relationships with Jesus I've ever witnessed.
Why do you think this is called Project of Love? Which btw is the name Jesus gave me in a dream. With the words: "together we will show the heart of the Father to the world".
He's saying: I love you. And nothing you do or say will ever change that.
He's crazy about you.
Let nobody ever convince you otherwise.❤️

Yes! The videos are amazing and sometimes just grab the heart in a profound way! We have a clue about Gods Word that is coming,maybe, depending on how Xander is moved by Spirit, but the visuals are not predictable and sometimes without even thinking about it, it just grabs me so deeply I bawl. 😭🙌 I struggled myself with knowing the love of the Father and at 58, knowing the Lord since 7 (with plenty of face planting falls and detours) it’s only in more recent years that my spirit has been healed to receive and understand. Our Father loves because He is love. We have walls of rejection and condemnation rooted from the pit and fall, but His love washes the wounds and by His stripes we are healed! Psalm 147:3 For God sooooooooo loves❤🙌

This is beautiful. It is so difficult to put the words of scripture to music without smoothing words. For that alone you are to be commended. Why did the artist have to ruin the song with lyrics that are not found in the original text? There is absolutely nothing about "demons" in Romans 8, yet the artist has stuck them into the lyrics! Can you please remain true to the text, rather than inserting your own words and thereby corrupting the Word of God?

Thanks for the clarification. Sorry to sound a bit harsh. I think you should be made aware that the Greek text does not have the word "daimones" (demons). The NLT has corrupted the Greek translation. It might be advised in the future that you compare the translation you plan on using with other translations. The NLT is a paraphrase and not always true to the text, and in the case of Romans 8:38, has gone off the rails. Here is the Greek text with English interlinear: πέπεισμαι (I am persuaded) γὰρ (for) ὅτι (that) οὔτε (neither) θάνατος (death), οὔτε (nor) ζωὴ (life), οὔτε (nor) ἄγγελοι (angels), οὔτε (nor) ἀρχαὶ (principalities), οὔτε (nor) ἐνεστῶτα (things present), οὔτε (nor) μέλλοντα (things to come), οὔτε (nor) δυνάμεις (powers). You will not find the Greek word "daimones" in this passage.

Really? The Living Bible was a paraphrase of the American Standard Version. The New Living Translation is a translation. Xander is a songwriter, not a Scripture Scholar. Your issue is with The Tyndal House Foundation.

Sorry to sound harsh but can you please start your own KZbin channel and write music that conforms to your extremely exacting specifications instead of discouraging someone trying to create art in service of the Lord Jesus Christ? Thanks.

The issue here is about changing the meaning of scriptures. If this was a secular song, then sure, feel free to use whatever lyrics works for you. But I assume the goal here is to share the word of God with others. But what if the Bible translation that the artist has chosen alters the meaning of the verse, and inserts a thought that does not exist in the original? Should a listener be forced to learn how to play the guitar, start a new band, write his own music, and form his own KZbin channel? It seems more reasonable to alert the artist to the error he made in the translation he chose and encourage him to compare translations in the future and choose one that is more faithful to the original.@@jimyoung9262
