These stories are born out of an odd mix: natural enthusiasm for language, and writing fast / quickly to meet everyone's needs. I suddenly rediscovered this one. Don’t think I ever listened to it all the way through before. It is a real gem. Whilst I appreciate all the work and skills which go into your “fantasy fiction” stories, these “natural” ones speak to me, resonate with me and often remind me of some of my encounters with and love of nature. (First time I came to Scotland in 1986 - and having been brought up a city girl I thought the brown peaty water when running a bath was dirty 😂😂😂 when in fact it is beautifully, naturally cleansing)
