By far the realest video on the subject. I realized, last year, that romanticizing my life was not gonna be about “things”. I just needed to be mindful about everything I do. I work from home and started treating every waking hour like I was at work. Not good! I love to paint and draw, but I wasn’t making time for it. I also like to read. I had piles of books I hadn’t even started. So, I turned one of my bedrooms into a creative space with tons of visual inspiration. Then I added a chair to a corner of my bedroom, along with a little table and electric tea kettle. When I am in these spaces, the world is turned of and tuned out. This is all about love for me and what my soul finds important. May all who read this find the same.

Go outside before bed and 1st thing in the morning! Best thing I ever did was put a coffee/charging station on my screen porch! My nightstand is full of books, journals, candles, pens, colored pencils, fresh flowers, water carafe, body oils, fuzzy socks, Vaseline, lotions, and an old timey alarm clock. 30 mins before sleepy time, I set my alarm. Write down the 1st things I wanna do in the AM. Take my phone out to to charger beside the coffee pot, set my power hour to do list on top of my phone which is on top of my calendar. Then I go back inside and read or write and put on lotions til I fall asleep. When my alarm goes off in the AM I make my bed while I think about all things gratitude. I put on my fuzzy socks and go out to make my coffee. I can't look at my phone b4 I look at my to do list. I spend 30 mins - an hour doing all the "chores" that I can, starting with garden stuff 1st, then laundry, then fix lunch, then unload dishwasher, etc. By the time the hour is up I've earned a 2nd cup of coffee and time to look at my phone. 10/10 recommend this habit to force yourself to be outside as the bookends of your day

Romanticizing your life is exactly about wanting YOUR OWN life. Making YOUR life beautiful and unique!! Anybody who says this is toxic is probably a very negative person who can make the simplest thing toxic. Heck creating art is toxic too now??
@mariharrik5987 Жыл бұрын
So being critical is being negative what a toxic comment you are in denial its very good of being critical of this toxic movment you arent realistic with yourself AND THERS NOTHINHG WRONG WITH BEING NEGATIVE ITS NORMAL HUMAN EMOTIONS and being happy all the time is abnormal and its ok not to be well all the time or you just want to be moody
@Becksnnc Жыл бұрын
It can be toxic if the people consuming the content compare themselves and think negatively about their own life because of it. It's a mindset shift and not everybody is able to achieve it.
@blackcarriebradshaw7 күн бұрын
@@Becksnnc too many people compare themselves to others and that's exactly why they are unhappy.

Wow great video when I searched “ romanizing my life” I was expecting videos like you mentioned. I actually clicked on yours bc ur thumbnail looked more realistic and calm in a way. I was just thinking I need a break from twitter bc debates and arguments every single day and I’m tired of absorbing peoples thoughts. At the end of every day I’ve been noting one good thing that happened today so that way I end the day off with a smile. I’ve also been cooking more at home.

Ah! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I love these practices.The process of romanticizing your life is really unique to you and cutting out the noise definitely helps you do that.

I'm so glad I found your channel, this video hit home for me. I try not to be on my phone in the rising, as well as doing one thing for myself everyday whether thats yoga, going on a walk, coloring, learning something new etc. something fun/simple thats not attached to a outcome or the need to "feel" productive.

Agreed! So glad you made that distinction. It's not at all about how much money or things you have - it's about appreciating what you do have and being present.

Thanks so much for this video! Lots of great tips. I love the voice notes idea and self check-ins. I do breathing exercises and yoga and upper body strength exercises in the morning and evening and a gratitude journal. All of that really helps!

thank you so so much for making this video When you say it out loud it sounds so simple and common sense, but it's so easy to forget in the day to day. Hey, maybe not for good but I wanted to detox for a while and just completely separate from it. I can be a little more mindful and romanticized the small things in my life without comparing so much to others.

This was crazy stupid helpful. I have been living an over stressful life for many of the reasons you spoke of. I think I totally know what my resolution is for 2023 now. Breaking social media down. Showing up for my own life and finally enjoying it. I think the poison has set in and a detox and release wouldn't be a bad idea. I think I'm going to grab a pen and paper and start writing out my goal of less social media for 2023. 🙏 Thanks

Social media is not necessarily bad. I am a "regular" person who is not rich. I work 2 jobs. I love the aesthetic videos online because things of beauty inspire me. Realistically, some things I can afford, and some I cannot. You can make your life feel, beautiful, cozy, stylish and high vibrating without breaking the bank. You can light candles, change your morning alarm sound, clean your apartment etc... Comparison is the thief of joy and that's where alot of folks go wrong. Stop comparing your lives and just make it feel better for YOU.
