My father died over 10 years ago. He studied classical guitar and flamenco as well, he used to play this song every time anyone ever got a guitar out, he died before he could ever teach me, and I could never remember the name of the song, one night I was laying down to sleep and had classical music on a playlist, and this video came on. I don't know how fast I must have sat up as soon as I heard the first few measures, but I will never forget the joy of finding this piece of music. Now it will be my turn to pass it on to my children someday.

You've pretty much got it. People think Romanza is a beginners piece, probably because most people can manage the first few bars but to play it properly and smoothly takes quite a lot of technique and that comes with time and practice.
@rdcoupal4 жыл бұрын
I totally love, LOVE your rendition of Romanza as you inspire my to study classical guitar and practice hard every day. I have only started playing guitar about one year ago and as such I struggle across 4 frets with pain in my fingers. I figure the challenge, well received, will make me a better guitarist over time. Any advice you can give me would be appreciated.

Perfection! I first heard this melody back in 1966 when visiting family in Norway. Lill Lindofors had just released a lovely vocal version of this called "Du Er Den Ende". It was a huge success. I bought the LP then and there and have enjoyed it for years. I later learned that the song was based on a traditional Spanish melody made for guitar. I now believe that your guitar playing skills were made expressly for this melody - Bravo!

HELP STOP FAKE CHANNELS AND CONTENT THIEVES STEALING FROM ORIGINAL ARTISTS! In recent years KZbin has been actively encouraging and supporting the vast plethora of rip-off channels uploading without consent our original works. These channels are often rewarded with thousands of subscribers and views into the millions…and all at the expense of writers and composers, many who will go unmentioned on these channels with no help from YT’s content ID system that invariably fails to recognise the true source of the music. THIS HAS TO STOP or we will cease to exist…or become so discouraged we will simply stop creating…or at least uploading on FREE streaming platforms. PLEASE DON’T LISTEN TO THESE FAKE “RELAX” CHANNELS but rather only click on those videos from authentic channels that feature the music notation symbol next to the artists name such as Al Marconi ♪ . The music on these channels will almost certainly be a higher resolution and you will be helping REAL artists and not these opportunists. Also please LIKE, SHARE, COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE to these channels and not these FAKE copycat channels. On behalf of all of us fighting this infestation…I THANK YOU!
