I love most romcoms and while Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts, and Sandra Bullock are some of my faves I always end up rewatching Queen Latifah romcoms when I’m on vacation. Typically some velour tracksuits and business casual in those but in Last Holiday she has this fur boot outfit I’m obsessed with haha

Over a year ago I obsessively compiled some pictures of items like the top you are wearing in this vid! I wish I knew what this style was called! Back then we called them tissue dresses or flutter hem. The SJP dresses from sex and the city are the ultimate romantic tissue dresses. I had all of these tagged in Lucky magazine. They had "Need it" "Love it" and "Maybe" stickers you could use throughout the magazine.

The only bit of 500 Days of Summer that felt really unique (in 2009!) to me was the engagement party where they split the scene into Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character's expectations vs reality. Seeing him have a great time at the party with Summer on the left while he is basically sulking alone on a rooftop on the right was a very cool show-don't-tell moment back then. (but now 'expectations-vs-reality' is a concept that has been memed to death). I think it's interesting that the costume designer for that film said she wanted Summer's wardrobe to feel real, thrifted, and worn as well. I was at university when that film came out and all of us thought her styling was achievable and were on the lookout for outfits like hers. Whereas...Kate Hudson in yellow is FAR more iconic and memorable, but I don't know if any of us have tried to buy a yellow ballgown.

These where some great choices! Someone else said they would’ve added Hitch and i completely agree, the costuming of Eva Mendez and Amber Valetta was impeccable in that movie. I would love to see a teen romcom video. If you do that i think at least mary kate and ashley movie should be present, and 10 things is a requirement. I love Picture Perfect with Jennifer Aniston. Her character’s style in that movie is quintessential 90’s & I live for it. My favorite rom com over all is probably A tie between “Love,Rosie”, “The Wedding Planner”, & “13 Going on 30”. If we’re talking teen rom coms that is harder for me because I have way to many that I love. Also does Never Been Kissed go in teen rom com territory or is it just a regular rom com 🤔. Anyways one that I love that I feel like people don’t talk about a lot is “Get Over It” it’s so good & one of my favorites. I dearly love “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” & “A Cinderella Story” of course plus I love 80’s teen rom coms too like “Some Kind of Wonderful”… ahh I’m sorry I’ve lived off teen rom coms growing up as well as regular rom coms. I love them so much…. Maybe because I’m a hopeless romantic & I love to laugh & when things are quirky . Please do a video focused on teen romcoms! I absolutely loved this video!!❤❤❤❤
