Hi Mark Thank you for your great tips. Really appreciate the suggestions to be kind to your feet, stay central and avoid higher pick pocketing locations👍🏻 Worth bearing in mind when visiting other compact city and town too. Thanks again.

You can also stay at the Hilton airport hotel. They have a bus which takes you to the city center. You don't have to worry about thiefs in the bus. Also, get you pizza in Fiumicino which is close to the Hilton. There is a small restaurant. The food is amazing there.

When my wife and I stayed in Rome, we stayed in a apartment we found on the internet. Was cheaper than the cheapest hotel and was in a great location as well and it was also very nice. Had all utilities such as kitchen ware, laundry (I felt very uncomfortable hanging my clothes out on the line out the window 5 stories up haha) So I would recommend checking out those options instead of thinking hotels are your only option. Also, now I'm having Italy withdrawals... Thanks a lot Walter!

There were eight of that traveled together to Paris. We found an apartment for much less than renting 3 hotel rooms. I even had my own bedroom and we had a great kitchen.

Hi there Walters, you are nice man, I like you, we have been to a few places that you are on about in your videos, and I need to admit that things you are saying are real and sensible. Less than two weeks ago we came back from short break in Rome, we loved every minute of it, we found Rome very friendly and safe, we have walked over 45 kilometres in Rome it self in three days,and about 15 kilometres in Ostia Anitca. Thats very true, if you don't have comfortable shoes, you wont see much of Rome, but its not a big problem to get cheap pair of shoes in central Rome and you can carry on walking.

Wolter! I’m going to Romenfor my honeymoon and every time I research something about Italy your videos pop up, I realized you’ve been doing this for a very long time since one of your oldest videos was blurry and the audio not so great due to the lack of technology access maybe haha you still managed to give better information than others, I love how you grew and perfected the video editing as well. Cheers!

You can also buy a grouped ticket at Palatin's entrance where there is far less people especially at opening and you get yourself a pass for Palatin+Forum+Colosseum thru line-cut entrance and a big smile on your priviledged face 😁

I've been to Rome and I really loved it. And yes, I did have pizza with prosciutto while I was there :-) I stayed near the Roma Termini station and it was so convenient. You are right regarding needing good walking shoes, if I go there again this time I will wear my nursing shoes :-)

Great video. I just got back from Rome, didn't buy fast track tickets for the Vatican, got there at 9am and queued for an hour. The time flew by as I had good company. I got to the Colosseum about 3pm, again didn't buy fast track tickets and queued for about 5 mins! I don't think it's necessary to buy fast track.

Your video is great!

+Nicole Page I know. I would look through some "top sights in rome" lists and pick out your favorites only. Otherwise burn out may happen :) try a market tour. Moisés Gaulês Except the hotel of course -forgot to mention. The three sites that draw the most tourists are Vatican museums,Trevi spring, and Colosseum. It would be hard for a family to get everyone at opening time lol. I visited Rome by myself and was able to walk around the whole dau from 7h to 20h and find many places not bonded 😊

Hi Mark, I strongly suggest you to try pizza in Naples, the birthplace of pizza. This is definetely the city in which you can taste the best pizza of your life. I'm waiting for you here :)
@gardini1008 жыл бұрын
do you use riccota or becamel sauce in your lasagna :)
@salvatoresilvestri65148 жыл бұрын
Talking about Naples, we use provola (a more solid variant of mozzarella), it's much more appropriate and in my area you can easily find it fresh. Ricotta and bechamel are valid alternatives. You can use ricotta if you are planning to do a classic lasagna with red tomato sauce whilst you can use bechamel in case of white lasagna (without tomato sauce). Anyway bechamel is very unusual in my area but in the whole Italy you can find very different recipes so the final dish may vary.
@gardini1008 жыл бұрын
Salvatore Silvestri thanks for the info ..my self i normaly use becamel sauce with a cheese mix "parmasan,mozzarella and even some times gorgonzolla..and some truffel oil :)

The best pizza is in Naples/Napoli! I ate pizza in Rome, Grosseto (Tuscany) and in Veneto and it wasn't good. The more you go to the North the worse pizza is. Of course there are some exceptions! Just try not to go to restaurants aimed for tourists because often the restaurant is not even run by Italians and they serve iced pizza and they heat it.

I was wondering the same. Is it an American thing? Sharing pizza? I understand if you have 2 little kids and they cannot eat whole pizza by themselves so they share one, but why would an adult share pizza?
