@@IWillSmurfYou well, louis-ferdinand celine was an one of the greatest french writers of XX century. and he was accused of anti-semitism and fascism. this is why he is "in jerusalem" here what about meaning - i think this song is not so much historical reminiscence or an ode to celine himself, but much more a lovesong about person, which views are in some kind of opposition with lyrical hero's views and it doesnt allow to love this person properly, with full heart rome has more full-fleshed lovesongs that it seems at first sight. reversion, querkraft, good part of this album - hyperion machine. europa isnt the only true love of good neofolk-musician! maybe the greatest but not the only! this genre always was very romantic

This song is about Louis-Ferdinand Celine, one of the best french authors. He is known for his writing style but is also problematic because of his rampant anti semitism (thats why in the song he sings "its not an easy thing to hold you dear"). In the music video, where the two people are eating really disgustingly should symbolise Celines writing style, which can be really disgusting at times.
