Exodus Chapter 33: 8 And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle. 9 And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses. 10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door. Exodus Chapter 33 verse 21 And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the Lord’s offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments. Exodus Chapter 40 verse 15 And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations. 34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

How is this moral? Building God another mansion, how nice. Why does God need Granite and Gold Leaf walls. Why such opulence and materialism in the face of so much suffering? We don't think this is moral use of resources & money for the Catholic Church. When do we turn the moral mirror on ourselves? The United Nations estimated last year 25,000 people still die of hunger daily. That means more than 9.1 million people die of hunger every year. www.bbc.com/news/magazine-22935692 Nearly 1/2 of the world’s population - more than 3 billion people - live on less than $2.50 a day. More than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty - less than $1.25 a day. 1 billion children worldwide are living in poverty. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty. 805 million people worldwide do not have enough food to eat. Food banks are especially important in providing food for people that can’t afford it themselves. Run a food drive outside your local grocery store so people in your community have enough to eat. Sign up for Supermarket Stakeout. More than 750 million people lack adequate access to clean drinking water. Diarrhea caused by inadequate drinking water, sanitation, and hand hygiene kills an estimated 842,000 people every year globally, or approximately 2,300 people per day. In 2011, 165 million children under the age 5 were stunted (reduced rate of growth and development) due to chronic malnutrition. Preventable diseases like diarrhea and pneumonia take the lives of 2 million children a year who are too poor to afford proper treatment. As of 2013, 21.8 million children under 1 year of age worldwide had not received the three recommended doses of vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis. 1/4 of all humans live without electricity - approximately 1.6 billion people. 80% of the world population lives on less than $10 a day. Oxfam estimates that it would take $60 billion annually to end extreme global poverty--that's less than 1/4 the income of the top 100 richest billionaires. The World Food Programme says, “The poor are hungry and their hunger traps them in poverty.” Hunger is the number one cause of death in the world, killing more than HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined. www.dosomething.org/us/facts/11-facts-about-global-poverty

Gaius Geminus: My comment wasn’t meant to imply anything negative about the Temple or the architect, it was simply my observation compared to other Temples I’ve been in. Provo City Center Temple has a very masculine feel to it, the trim is stained a dark wood color and fabric that is more masculine feeling, the Detroit Temple is more feminine with the trim painted white and light fabric on the furniture and delicate details. Toronto Temple is more feminine and so is The Chicago Temple. I would say the Draper Utah Temple and the Washington DC Temple is a nice marriage between the two. Salt Lake Temple, is unparalleled in strength and old beauty, she is the matriarch, her beauty is tempered with wisdom and strength, not femininity. If you look at pictures of the Temples on line you will see what I mean.

Mr. Matt much love to you, I hope respond with something"I think you should do a little more research on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints :).">I have, extensively. I have been even to the temple in Utah."We are Christian.">I do believe there honest individuals seeking for the actual truth. But I can confidently and comfortably say that whoever abides by the LDS teachings is not a true biblical Christian. If you have the wrong God, the wrong Jesus and the wrong message by definition you are not a Christian. LDS have all those wrong."You are correct our bodies are a Temple and the Holy Spirit can reside within us, as long as we remain worthy of his presence." >"as long as we remain worthy"? After the fall we are not worthy, and we will never be worthy until we are glorified, in the mean time we are worthy by faith alone (not works) by Jesus alone due to what He did on the cross. Ret question: Since when after we are saved by grace through faith is up to us to remain worthy? never heard of that."Just like in Ancient times, actual physical Temples are needed to perform sacred ordinances, which bring us closer to Jesus and our Heavenly Father.">All the temple sacrifices and feasts in the ancient times pointed to Jesus Christ; they were a shadow of him. Colossians 3:14-16. What bring us closer to Jesus is our believe and faith in Him and that is done by God's grace ALONE and because of that we have peace with Him (God). The same Jesus said " nobody comes to me unless the father draws them" John 6:44. This is a big deal in the New Testament. This is very twisted and VERY dangerous. Hebrews is Huge on this. My friend please I plead with you check this again. ":) And you should read the Book of Mormon it is a great book and talks all about Jesus Christ,">I have read it, I have a marked and highlighted copy. JW's think that NWT is a great book and it mentions Jesus but very twisted, Quran mentions Jesus or Isa in a very perverse and twisted way, Hindus mention Jesus also in a very perverse and twisted way and it has been proven the book of Mormon is the same. "s a great companion to the Bible. :)">I respectfully disagree, Joseph Smith was told that ALL the religions of the world are corrupted to follow none, and now the bible is accepted, Mr. Matt The Bible, the inspired and perfect written Word of God does not need companion for it is self sufficient.Be blessed,

@@beatleman69 > Do you understand what you are talking about? The statue of Christ presented represents nail imprints in hands and feet. And that the Christus we are letting you know is alive and does not hang on the cross! We believe in a living and powerful Christ. Not a dead and criminal God hanged on the cross. That is why we do not have a cross relics. Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead - and that He lives!!! Those religion who believed and stucked on the crucifixion event is more scary than us. And even more spiritually lost! Who hanged Jesus Christ? The pagan Romans - supported by unbelieving Jews, particularly those in the Sanhedrin! Crucifixion in their time was a form of death penalty for criminals, and Jesus Christ was not a criminal! And during Christ's 40 days ministry after His resurrection, He did not even commanded to make a cross relics depicting Him hanging and dead. In the event that He comes, He will be very angry - - because that practice is a very mockery of His resurrection. The figure on the steeple -is the Angel Moroni who will be blowing the trumpet pointing to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. He is not Lucifer. Lucifer is your god who deceived you in lies to make cross relics or graven images for and to worship the dead and criminal Jesus Christ!!! Even telling you not to worship the real Jesus Christ who is Resurrected and Lives and sits in the Right Hand Throne of Heavenly Father in Heaven. Why don't you read the Gospels cover to cover? So that you will know and be educated. Don't just bark without strong information!!! Why don't you visit the Visitor's Center and learn more of our beliefs first-hand, not just from hearsays from people whose very work is just to find faults and wage statements against The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - we defend, we do not contend, debate and fight with other religions. We respect religious freedom, we do not incite hate! Rather we work hand-in-hand with other faiths in distributing humanitarian services to the suffering people regardless of race, colors and religion throughout the world. God Bless You!

Did you guys know: the temple is built entirely without measurements. That is, on any part of the temple. Like in a house, where they mark out where to cut, paint, screw, drill, ect. The temple has non of that. All with temporary measurement like tape measures, and so forth that would not leave any marks or impressions on the temple. This is to keep it as pure as possible. Cool huh?😊

@@Cyrusmagi members of the church make covenants with God in the temple during an endowments session. There are principles taught concerning eternal life in the temple. You can go to a beautiful mountain or valley and meditate and read and ponder scriptures and that will be very enlightening, but the things that are taught and promised in the temple are unique and sacred

Gaius Geminus The covenants that I make with God and perform cannot be done in a mountain or valley. The temple is the Lord’s sacred house and cannot be learned outside his house. Pondering on a mountain or valley is a wonderful thing, but I need not ponder in the Lord’s house, for it strengthens my testimony of Jesus Christ and God the father.
@terrancenelson7135 жыл бұрын
Gaius Geminus the church and families are actually studying the new testament this year, if you are curious, it’s in a manual called “come follow me”, it can be found on the gospel library app. I will keep your scriptures in mind as we get to those chapters. Jesus Christ’s church has been restored to the earth, as have the proper priesthood keys being restored. Modern day revelation from a prophet and his apostles are real, as is my testimony of Jesus Christ. We cannot survive spiritually with our testimony alone and need the help and direction from our modern day prophets and apostles. Just as the Jews did not believe Jesus was the son of God, there will be many who will believe that Christ’s church has not been restored to the earth and believe there is no such thing as priesthood power from the proper authority. I cannot convince you of this on a KZbin comment, I invite you to have the missionaries teach you the gospel and have you ponder and pray if it’s right.
@terrancenelson7135 жыл бұрын
Gaius Geminus you have come here to argue, not to gain understanding. I always read the New Testament, how could I not since it has Jesus Christ’s work in it?Have you not read the Old and New Testament? Polygamy was a practice in ancient times, surely you would know this if you did. It is no longer practiced in the church because it was revealed to be no longer needed. You must read to understand and connect with the spirit to gain a testimony.
@terrancenelson7135 жыл бұрын
Gaius Geminus you may know us by that nickname, but we have always been members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mormon was a prophet indeed, but is not who we follow. I believe you need to do some church history research and read some more to better understand. Read the book Saints Vol 1, real good narrative of early church history. It’s free on the gospel library app. A lot of your questions will answered in there or you can call the local missionaries to answer further questions. Reading the Book of Mormon is indeed a cornerstone to our religion but not the entire piece. God bless you brother, I hope your testimony in Jesus Christ is strengthened as you read and learn more in your life and are able to understand other religions and how they understand the gospel.
