Thank you for talking about this. This feeling is extremely relatable to anyone with any kind of trauma but it's not often talked about. You always hear people saying that you shouldn't dwell on "why me?", but i think sometimes when you go through a completely unfair and life threatening situation, it's fair to ask "why did this happen?" and be angry and upset when you don't know why. I'll be thinking of you, please hang in there.

It’s a very complicated emotional thing being sick. I have Multiple Sclerosis which will never go away unless they find a cure. I was relieved when I was diagnosed because I finally had a diagnosis of what I was going through. It’s very complex and confusing ❤❤❤

When my son was going through treatment I was on top of everything, meds, appointments, er visits, hospital stays, and then when it was all done I completely went into hermit mode. The need to process is REAL. The trauma is real. When you're going through it you don't have time to actually process, the only goal is to make it to the other side. Congrats! After watching countless youtubers go through chemo therapy, as a scientist, who understands what chemo does to your body, I have firmly decided I will never get chemo therapy. I will remove the mass and live the remainder of my existence in gratitude for however long I have. I realize that's not for everyone, but while I'm not even 40 yet, I've had enough medical trauma and want to die with a piece of me still intact. I'm glad you had such an amazing support system. Not everyone has that. I'm also very sorry for your initial loss in the process as many women experience that. Men are just not hardwired to be care takers. So unfortunately abandonment happens a lot. I feel you're in a much better place romantically now than ever before and I wish you nothing but the best.

The day I was told my tumor was now small enough to stop treatment in 4 weeks, I had a panic attack and a mental breakdown. Not what I expected and certainly not what my oncologist expected. It's the side that isn't talked about. For me, it was after 7 years of treatments. Started seeing my therapist shortly after, understandably. Congrats, Romee!! I'm so thrilled for you ❤❤

All the people I have known in my life who have gone through cancer or another life-threatening illness have had a period of strong anxiety, anger and/or depression once the were cured. So I'm not at all surprised that you have to go through this. Great to know that you are not alone in this. I felt the same way too. In January I will be a 6 year breast cancer warrior. I fought that battle with all my might. Jesus had my back and I knew we had it.I have Neuropathy in my feet and hands and pain daily. I am so proud of you. Thank you for sharing your journey. This is so real and your feelings are totally valid. When my daughter finished chemo for leukemia we went from being at the hospital weekly or bi-weekly for labs and checks to going once a month the first year. Then every other month the second year. It’s hard to think you’re just done. Chemo is like a safety blanket. Those labs are your reassurance that all is well. Now we are down to every 6 months. That was really hard but we are coping.
