Wow! I didn’t realize he was so good. Chelsea under Tuchel didn’t play to his strengths at all. He can hold off a defender with one arm, turn and shoot without losing balance, but Chelsea teammates didn’t pass to him when a defender was nearby. I can also understand how he got so many injuries with that large frame , the knees take a lot of strain. I hope he can be back to his best again one day as was shown in this video.

Thanks for this video. It is precisely what I have been telling guys that Chelsea is not playing to the strengths of Romelu. You can't glue him in the box and expect him to give you results. Give him a marauding role and you get the player on this clip. Chelsea, we hold the ball for far too long and when opportunities present where you can squeeze in through balls, they are never taken. The occasional Fabrigas like over the top ball are conspicuously missing. Unlock this guy Chelsea.

I think this Chelsea playing style suits him more. There are more passes made to the striker and there are more build up plays that involve everybody. Last time Chelsea had players like Mata, Hazard, Oscar these type of midfielders who took shots outside the box or just tried to finish themselves. Strikers have to fight for the ball and pick up loose balls from their shots in order to score most of the time. See how Didier Drogba excelled, that man had great poacher instincts, finishing and also could take balls from the midfield and unleashed unstoppable long shots. But Lukaku needs more passes to him and his touches are not that great. So, he often got isolated up front.
