Did you just call Indiana underrated? Indianapolis itself has produced more NBA players in the past 2 decades then any other city in the country and Indy has a population of just over a mill as to where NY and LA have 8× and 6× the population of Indy but Indy has put more players in the league than any city. Indiana is basketball home to the biggest high school gyms in the country and the best basketball coaches produced.

AL Christian Even better man!! EJ had some nasty games, but Romeo is even better than EJ was at this point. He's potentially the best guard to ever come out of the state... He could've easily passed Damon Bailey's scoring record if he chose to be more selfish. He differed a LOT, and still averaged 35 ppg. He's smooth. Not as strong as EJ, but even more agile.

@FUG20186 жыл бұрын
Jim Fritz lol he's a one and done ain't gonna be no educational aspect also vandy is a great educational institution but you can't rank an I institution as a whole on the education they provode. Every institution has programs that are better than others and programs that are worse. Ie you can conpare the education you are getting at 2 differnt buissness programs but because 1 schools buisness program is better doesnt make the education of the entire institution better or worse just that program. I guess they didn't learn you that at vandy tho. And don't be knocking iu and the education they provide Kelly school of business created Mark Cuban
@jimfritz89836 жыл бұрын
He might be a one and done but I got the feeling that his parents value a college education. My daughter will begin her college education in Bloomington this fall. One of her best friends will be swimming for Vanderbilt this fall.

@joshwitt1046 жыл бұрын
Actually towards the end of his recruitment, it was a rumor (shared a couple different times) that Darius got on Romeo's nerves by constantly pressuring him to commit to Vandy. He wasn't just trying to sway him, he was persistently annoying him, and it was a turn off. Darius is more show-boaty, whereas Romeo is NOT. Rumor is also that Romeo and Rob Phinisee, Indiana's #1 point guard who is also committed, have grown their friendship a ton lately, and that their games compliment one another. Rob is more humble like Romeo. They're gonna slay as freshmen. IU is loaded 1-9, possibly 10 deep.

the DMV has more talent than Indiana.
@jchardwi6 жыл бұрын
😂 Indiana's last coach thought the same thing...now he's unemployed. I'll take Indiana's top 5 over the DMV all day, every day. And I'm talking about local talent; not schools like Oak Hill, Dematha, Hargrave, etc... that have to recruit from states like Indiana for their talent. Hell, you're wearing a Dematha jersey... What was Oladipo ranked coming out of high school and where was he drafted after 3 years in Indiana...?
@Brandon-gz5en6 жыл бұрын
DeMatha is home grown talent, and yes oladipo was ranked coming out of high school. Paul Vi, Gonzaga and DeMatha are just 3 school ranked in the top 25 that are all in the dmv.
@jchardwi6 жыл бұрын
Oladipo was ranked around 140th in the country. Send him to a basketball state and give him a PG (Yogi Ferrell) and Center (Cody Zeller) from Indiana and he goes 2nd overall in the draft. All of those schools you listed are private schools that can recruit players. In Indiana, a player automatically loses a year of eligibility if they try to transfer schools for athletic reasons (unlike Dematha, who apparently had 3 guards transfer in this season). Maxpreps computer rankings had Warren Central ranked higher than Dematha and Warren Central is a public school in Indianapolis with zero high major recruits. I think that pretty much says it all.
@Brandon-gz5en6 жыл бұрын
but that's a college, I see what your saying though but Oladipo is truly from the DmV.. DeMatha recruits locally, same for Paul Vi, Gonzaga, Oconnelll and more. none of the Indiana schools are in the top 25. I mean look at all the players in the league that are from the DMV.
@jchardwi6 жыл бұрын
The players I mentioned are both from the state of Indiana. Zeller is from Washington, IN and Ferrell was from Indianapolis. There are two schools located in Indiana that are in the top 25; Warren Central and La Lumiere. Warren is one of the only public schools on the entire list and La Lumiere is a charter school and isn't considered an Indiana HS by the Indiana athletic association. If we're talking NBA players...Jeff Teague, Courtney Lee, Eric Gordon, Michael Conley, Zach Randolph, the Zeller brothers, the Plumlee brothers, Glenn Robinson III, George Hill, Gary Harris, Yogi Ferrell...those are just the players I can think of off the top of my head.
