@@joshwoodson5102 That's wishful thinking there, but it would take a lot of string pulling on Isaak O'Day's part to keep Han hidden from China's Most Wanted radar. Maybe if Trish had gotten a hold of those signed and sealed business deeds for Oakland's Waterfront before she left her dad to look for Han, then later on both her and Isaak could use those deeds for leverage to convince Vincent Roth to have his friends in high places grant Han 🇺🇸 asylum and eventually 🇺🇸 citizenship!

So at best Roth would've pulled strings to make Isaak O'Day the Oakland Raiders newest team owner in exchange for the waterfront deeds. And Isaak could use his newfound status to lookout for Han and the small business owners that were forced to sell their livelihoods away to Mac and Han's father Chu.

What I love about this is that they didn't need any sex scenes or kissing to make a good love story, this was perfect the way it is. Fun Fact: According to Jet Li, a kissing scene was filmed but Jet Li felt that it would've been too awkward for Han to kiss Trish after witnessing his father's death.

FUN FACT: the original ending was suppose to have Trish & Han kiss but allegedly test audiences didn't feel "comfortable" with seeing them kiss. So it was changed to the ending we all know. Honestly, I call BS on that claim because everyone that saw the movie when it originally came out wondered why they didn't get together. They had so much chemistry.......🤨🤔

It wasn't so much they were uncomfortable with the kiss as it was a bit odd to have Han kiss Trish right after his father dying. Aaliyah herself said the hug was more fitting for the scene

In the orginal script of the movie, the two were supposed to kiss but the scenes was cut in the process before it was released because there "backlash" of an Asian male kissing an African American woman on screen. Personally, I think it was a stupid decision to cut it from the film but what can we do...? Nothing.

In the end, it would be strange to see Jet Li's character kiss someone after just witnessing his father's suicide. One could only imagine what's going through the back of his mind. The hugging scene & then slowly walking out of the place in each other's arms was the best decision. Plus, it felt more natural.❤🙏

According to Jet Li, the filmmakers did consider having Han and Trish kiss at the end. But since Han had just witnessed his father commit suicide, the filmmakers felt it would have been inappropriate and changed their minds. Personally, I think that was the right choice and it helped sell the film's bittersweet ending.

Han had already fingered him as the man responsible for all the harbour crimes, as well as the death of his son (Han's brother). Han also points out that the other Chinese families would want to seek vengeance, so in essence, his days are very numbered. There was no getting out of this one.
