: This song was produced by Ric Ocasek at The Cars Studio Syncro Sound on Newberry St. In Boston. It was a last minute thing. They were already done. They stopped, unpacked and did this song ...

A banger of a song!!!! Also featured in a cool dance sequence with Aidan Quinn and Daryl Hannah from the 1984 film "Reckless."

Love this song! Still in my playlists. Couple of interesting facts: Debora Ilyall and the guys were a really tight band who had some other great tunes, but after maybe two hits, this one and “A Girl In Trouble” they were basically shunned my the record producers and marketers bc of her weight. They didn’t feel that she had the “look” they could sell. We was robbed (and so were they) bc NOBODY cared about that. They were a jammin band and fit perfectly in w the vibe of the 80s. The saxophonist, Benjamin Bossi, was amazing. He has lost a lot of his hearing and is unable to play any longer. They split up around 1985 pursuing other interests, although Deborah has continued w art and music.

You should find the album version which is a few minutes longer with more saxophone
@jeffbrock79514 жыл бұрын
you should try John Cafferty and the beaver brown band " On the Dark Side" since you love saxophone. I myself have never heard a better person than Michael Antunes play a mean saxophone!

Romeo Void has a much better song called "A Girl in Trouble (Is a Temporary Thing)" I think you would really like it. Make sure it is the original version no the dance mix.
