I really appreciate these prices! I feel like they're very reasonable. I see so many pop-up shops of vintage/thrift items that are exponentially (and ridiculously, IMO) over-priced. Nothing wrong with keeping a target audience to "affordable", that's actually affordable! That's how you keep the customers coming!!

Congrats on selling everything in a hour! I honestly thought I would see unreasonable L.A pricing out of reach for the less well off but I am pleasantly humbled that you made it possible for anyone to be able to have these beautiful items you have found! So because I personally can't afford your candles..I thank you that I can afford to shop on your new adventure!! I was bummed that nothing was left but happy for you that it was a huge success! I pray that you will continue to offer such fair kind pricing!! Sending love ❤️ Traci

Tip for kneading bread- use a large floured board on your dining table so that you are using your body weight instead of arm muscles to push it down. The board will save your finish because you need to use a dough scraper sometimes in humid weather. Much easier.

When I was 15 (65 now) I made bread every weekend, 5 loaves worth. No kitchen aid for me. I did it all in a huge ceramic bowl, kneading by hand. Then I sliced all the bread and made sandwiches for the family and stored them in the freezer. It was hard work but it was also very therapeutic.
@cinder8290

I used to bake eight loaves at a time. I only do four now. I got tired of kneading for eight minutes and I got a KitchenAid, I almost burnt the motor out. It was clicking and clacking. I have the more heavy duty one now.

i remember feeling like i was always the one fading into the background while others stood out effortlessly. it was frustrating and made me doubt myself a lot. then i came across this book, Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and it showed me things i’d never even considered. it’s not just a self-help book; it’s like a guide to understanding your own energy and using it to connect with people. if you’ve ever felt like you’re not seen, this book might change everything.

I’m 1 hr after the video was posted and it’s all sold out. Congrats girl! I’m so happy with the pricing that you did for us. I love Drew but his prices are outrageous! I really hope I’m lucky enough to catch it in time on the next one. I really just wanted maybe 1 piece, esp that coffee grinder. I think you found it in Canton and I live in Texas myself. I don’t even really drink coffee much! My memory isn’t always great but I’m sure I saw you at the very least haul everything. Oh that’s awesome you’re donating a portion also. Many people don’t need the money and would still charge like a high end antique store. I guess that’s one of the reasons we all love you.

Your insticts were spot on w leaving the dough tacky! Brava, your 1st attempt was beautiful, btw. I've been trying to master my bread, making skills as well, here are a few things that have helped me 1. I don't like to knead and fold all day either, so i make the dough let it rise twice, then i refrigerate it overnight night and bake the next day (not in a stainless bowl). Works like a charm 2. You have to then bring the dough back up to room temperature. I let it rise on parchment paper so the transfer to the hot pan is easier 3 do you see how your bread cracked on the top? If you really want to get fancy you " score" the top w a line or look up some tutorials for quick, easy patterns to score your bread so it doesn't crack randomly 4. You're absolutely correct. You bake for 30 min covered them 5-10 w the lid off to get it that golden color ( some recipes say to lower the heat by 50° with lid off). Sourdough is fun too same exact steps just add sourdough to your recipe. I also have an easier low maintenance sourdough if you like How you have fun you're doing great!!!

Well done on the shop!! For your parchment paper, screw it up in a ball like you’re throwing it away then open it up again, it makes it so much more pliable to put stuff in or on it. Enjoy the hand kneading experience while you can, I miss it. I’m 45 this year and have early arthritis and can no longer knead dough of any kind my hands hurt so much. It’s a skill to practice now so you can teach Cade soon xxx

I know a lot of people have commented on how fair your prices are in your shop, but I feel the need to add my 2 cents :) Wow, MaCenna! I follow a lot of vintage resellers & I also follow the trends of vintage sales on eBay & I can’t believe how inexpensive your prices were (past tense because you sold out!). I know you’ve had a lot of (unfair) criticism on your candle prices, so I think it’s incredibly sweet of you to make it so anyone can shop your shop. macenna, when seam ripping, if you put the ball part of it "inside" the seam, you can get long swaths of the seams open bc it prevents the seam ripper from piercing the fabric. you only need to make sure the other pokey side stays "up". (i have no idea if i described that well enough fo ryou to understand, but i'm sure there are "how to properly use a seam ripper" vids you can look up) makes things go a LOT quicker

How fun to see your collection even tho everything has sold. I’ve been a vendor at a second hand shop for 8 years and enjoy hunting for treasures to resell. Some things I get to use myself for awhile then switch out for something else and sell.

Congrats on everything selling so quickly! I saw your Instagram story 16 minutes after it posted and everything was nearly sold out and the items I clicked on or had in my cart sold faster than I could buy them! I hope the next re stock of new items is soon!!

I just got the notification for this video one hour ago. Just watched it and by the time I went online everything was sold out😢. You did a great job on this collection. Wish I could have made it earlier. Just wanted to say Cade in the background giggling made my day!

MaCenna, I am so excited for your new “pop-up shop” that you have been sharing with us for years. I can’t wait to see the entire collection online. On a breakfast note, your bread looked fantastic. Though I am not a baker as well, I have watched KZbin videos in fascination on people that make beautiful types of bread loaves. One thing I noticed that they did was mix the yeast powder in the water, and let it sit for a certain number of minutes per the recipe, before incorporating it with the dry mixture. Your directions may or may not have asked you to do that, but you’re a great researcher, so you might wanna look into that Important step in baking bread. Lastly, I loved seeing the rain in Southern California In your video today and my favorite part of your video was hearing how talkative Caden has become. Question: will you be building your living room shelves And outdoor patio makeover in California before doing the full remodel in Texas? Thank you for your wonderful Content. You are my number one Favorite KZbin vlogger And I look forward to each of your videos because you’re super creative, A great designer and so much fun To watch as a mommy. I missed Kingsley today.❤️🐶🐾

Congrats on your store. I jumped over during your video (paused video of course 😊), lots of sold out pieces- double congrats!! I would buy your mom’s art (framed by you due to very limited beautiful frames here). Big art like what you have over your fireplace. This is so exciting for us and you. Thank you Romeo for doing the shipping, If you do shipping like you do your laundry, all will go great!! :)

That would be my favorite thing to purchase as well. A beautiful frame, not too big of one for me, with her mom’s beautiful original art in it!

I've been making my own homemade bread for 4 years. My go to bread is super simple 3-3 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 cup water 1 1/2 tablespoons yeast 2 teaspoons salt 1 egg If your yeast is fresh you do not need to bloom it. I put in the water and yeast, give it a little mix so there are no dry yeast patches. Add 3 cups of flour, salt, oil and egg and knead with machine for 5 minutes. If it is too sticky add more of the flour. If it's too dry add a tiny bit more water. The humidity of your home plays a difference in how your bread will turn out. Let double in size punch down and shape into a loaf pan and let rise again. It shouldn't spring back when you poke it, when it's ready to go in the oven. Bake at 350 for about 20-25 minutes or until it temps 200 degrees farehieght. Take it from the pan as soon as possible or the exterior or the bread will get soggy. Let sit on a rack until cool. Super soft and fluffy, excellent for Sandwiches

Love what you have done waiting on the deck finish and den/living area. However understand the wait and nesting in your kitchen.

Just saw a comment saying you sold out already. Lucky you don't post to the UK coz I'd be pissed waking up at 6a.m when you post vlog overnight and everything had sold. Amazing it has, all those months/years of collecting gone in hours, well done. Now just a massive amount of postage to do. Bread looks delicious!

MaCenna, Everyone has there do's and don'ts to cooking. My suggestion to you is just enjoy bread making and have a nice memory of making and baking bread. Enjoy the process! Yes your bread had a perfect crumb look to it!
