Sleep most definitely is going to be an issue in the beginning but this is her identity also. I don't think she'll take on much when he's born, but she should just do a visual podcast best. I would say do the business I've always been curious to hear what she has to say about that but I I think she could incorporate the last 5 minutes of the podcast to addressing design ideas of pictures of our living spaces❤ also you should get a few started before the baby's born to get you through a few weeks of content❤️ you know what just talk to us we have plenty to say 🤣 🤯 YOU COULD JUST DO LIVE VIDEO PODCAST 🤯

As much as I love her, I think being a mom is going to be a really big wake-up call. She loves going to her fancy lil LA sit down restaurants, multiple trips to Lowes a day, jumping on a plane whenever she wants....That doesn't happen when you're a mom, especially a new one. If you read this MaCenna, please take care of your postpartum mental health and take it slow. I know it's going to be hard for someone like you to not do "all the things" all the time, but your priorities are going to shift and it's okay. We'll be here when you adjust, just enjoy your baby ❤

How he got started, the evolution, how he's grown as a seller. 2.) design dilemmas, maybe grouped by room? 3.) top tools you've loved, worth the money. Also, tools not worth the money 4.) anything with your mom 5.)interview a contractor(maybe if you gain a good relationship with your kitchen contractor) ask them the biggest fixes they've had to do for diy homeowners. 6.) viewer write ins on the biggest diy mistakes that were costly or time consuming fixes.7.) topics like renovation timeline 8.) later balancing a baby and diy

[going to add my ideas as a reply to yours so it won't disappear into the void] 9) how to improve the light in a space without busting thru the wall or ceiling 10) many people approach some things in a house as unchangeable (roof, walls, etc) what are the steps needed to take to put a window where there wasn't one? I doubt you just phone up a contractor and be all 'please put a window in my brick wall, or a skylight in my roof'

With My Two Hands sounds like not just about DIY's and experiences. There's a plethora of topics you could cover to include: -Your entrepreneurship experience -Best editing software you use, camera for car and moving about -Understanding your own personal style(s). You did a show discussing the different styles like MCM, French Country, English Cottage, Industrial, Modern Country, Modern, Transitional, Scandinavian , Art Deco etc., when you lived in the apartment (regarding art decor). I've visited so many people's homes and its a hodge-podge of styles, with no clear direction or how to even elevate or identify what they want their home to look and feel. Home is our safe haven, our space of peace, calm, joy and our mental break from the world's chaos. You have a real eye for design for complimenting colors for your walls and trim, art & home décor. We need your help and expertise talking about those really simple things. The platform is yours! I'm interested in Romeo's T-shirt business too!

It is so special! And when subsequent babies come along, that time is over. Only to say, the time with your first little boy will be so special-allow yourself that luxury. ~Cathy

I like to “watch” podcasts when I can. I love the content when it’s focused on empowerment of women. Whether as a mom to be, mom to a fur baby, corporate executive or content creator, retiree or stay at home mom, I think women need to lift each other up and support one another. I loved when you spoke of your two year plan to exit corporate life and how you achieved it. I watched you build a shack into a home, piece by piece, I watched you create and market Auden Lueur and I watched you purchase your dream house in California. I watched your pregnancy journey unfold and your honesty about how long conception took. I’ve been with you since the beginning of videos and the one common thread is empowerment and never saying no - or knowing your limitations. And it’s that empowerment which keeps me tuning into hear both you and your mom talk about the struggles of women in a man dominated field. For what it’s worth, I’m a retired 65yr old baby boomer who raised kids, stayed home to raise them, went back to work and started my own company before retiring to help care for my grand babies. Thank you for sharing those stories with us.

Have you considered getting some air dry clay and a few rubber, or resin, moulds to make new trim for the picture frame that needs repair? Then you can glue the clay onto the parts that need to be repaired. You could also attempt to make your own mould directly from the frame, by using an area that is not damaged.

I love both of your channel's MaCenna very much, and I love all that you've done. While my home is not as formal as yours anymore, I truly love all that you've done. I absolutely love vintage and antique pieces, particularly the more rustic ones, and incorporate them in a more farmhouse/cottege design (or I'm trying to that is!). In response to your question about a podcast I definitely prefer one in video format because I am very much a visual learner. There are several things I'd love to see you address in these video podcasts are: how to best design a room, as well as how to address design issues; how to actually decide on the best paint colors for a room in the house,, as well as when you could paint a ceiling and/or the baseboards in a color other than white or cream; and finally, you have often shown projects where you have either made things and/or redone something, but I'd like to see. you explain exactly how to do them. You do amazing work and your confidence is inspiring.

Coming from a new mom of a 4 month old and just buying a house and moving a week before she was due, I was like you with all these plans and visions for our home. However, since she’s been here it’s been hard to just keep up with things I enjoy. Granted my husband and I do work full time outside of the home, but on my days off it’s 100% attention on the little one wether I wanted to do something that day or not. You do get used to doing stuff while they’re awake and they will get to a point where they entertain themselves better, but you still have to stop in the middle of things to go take care of them. So just give yourself grace to not get it all done because that will happen. And rest! I know you hear that a lot and I did too, but I didn’t actually understand the need until I was just burnt out and exhausted, even now at 4 months. Just learn motherhood and do stuff a little at a time. I thought I would still be able to get everything done/decorated how I wanted while having a newborn but that was definitely not the case and we are blessed with a healthy baby so that isn’t even the issue.

Hi Macenna! I really enjoyed when you did price breakdowns on your podcasts, and dissected what was worth DIYing and contracting out - that info reaaally has helped me out. I also think design dilemmas would be so much fun, I would definitely write in! Maybe you also can include a segment where you talk about what design elements you can have in your home if you’re trying to achieve a certain aesthetic. For example, if someone loves cottage core but they’re having trouble knowing how to incorporate that in their home, you would educate us on buying specific things, like wood, lace, knit blankets, etc.

You always look great, but you look extra vibrant these days. You are beautiful and have such a sweet spirit! I'm thrilled things are going well! Your baby boy is so blessed to have such wonderful parents, grandparents, and extended family! ❤️

I think you should change the podcast to “ALL the THINGS” that way you are not pigeonholed with content and let’s face it, if I hear the phrase, I think of you. With the baby coming I feel your content will be ever-changing.

I love the idea of helping people with their design dilemmas. I have a huge blank wall that I have no idea how to tackle. I really appreciate your plan to keep the detailed part of your baby journey separate. So happy for you both. I like seeing when things don't work out and you figure out a new plan (like the kitchen handles). I wouldn't mind smaller diys/crafts while you are in the more intense baby phase. I also loved the episode where you did a display in a thift store. Personally I prefer youtube 30min+ to other formats. Thank you for asking ❤ Love your work

I personally prefer more how-tos/tips and tricks/educational content. Especially when it comes to interior design and how to get started with it. Scrolling through your current podcasts, I skipped a lot of them as they didn’t seem to really fall into the above categories, so would definitely love to see a little more of that. I think it would also be fun to comment on our spaces and give suggestions.

I love a good podcast. Keep them to 30 minutes and I watch them. Yes design issues are fun and helpful. Plus your mental process of how you think through the design process. And how you create mood boards and why you put things together.

Yes to design dilemmas and mood boards to show ideas/process.

Love the idea of a platform where you could help us with our own design issues! I always watched your podcasts- I liked the visual.

I like the idea of design dilema for a topic. I much prefer videos to podcasts, but find in the car or doing dishes they are welcome. You look beautiful, so glad you feel good!

Love the easel. Could your Mum do an unfinished piece to place on it and then work on it a little each time she visits. It could be a reminder of each visit thus marking time and be visually symbolic of one of the many reasons you're waiting for her return. Begun at the beginning of this monumental chapter of your lives and meant to never be finished. Like love, never ending.

That's a sweet idea! I stopped oil painting when I found out I was expecting bc of all the harsh chemicals used to clean the brushes but hope to get back into it after baby arrives!😊 Maybe during his nap times... I like the idea of the slow progress and the memories attached. 😊

I may be wrong, but most art on an easel is not framed...

For me, podcasts are my daily dose of inspiration and positivity during walks and commutes. I seek out content that uplifts and motivates, boosting my serotonin levels and setting the tone for the day/afternoon ahead. Your perspective on challenging topics has been of comfort, teaching me valuable lessons and showing me how to overcome obstacles. For example, as a first time homebuyer, I constantly think back to your point that a "house is a living, breathing thing that needs constant attention". I was struggling hard with home issues and that help me feel not so alone and helped me change perspective. I think sharing some more of those challenges and lessons would be amazing! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and light with the world!

I pretty much only listen to podcast when I'm driving and they are almost exclusively true crime or music related. I think your podcasts, although very well done were pretty much covered by your video content so it wasn't as intriguing to me.

For the podcast: I would like two things: 1) conversations or interviews with other people in the field and 2) if someone wanted to build a similar platform/business as yours: how to. Exiting times! But: as a new mom you will have little time and please don’t stress yourself out! Especially in the beginning ❤️
